These are integrated degree programmes without any intermediate B.Sc. degree. While these programmes ensure the required science component in any comparable postgraduate science degrees of other universities, they also incorporate many courses which have been notionally considered to be the domain of engineers. The integrated nature of the programmes and their analytical and engineering science contents give them an added professional character and equips students with the skills and problem-solving abilities to participate usefully in industrial jobs. While a capable student with a 10+2 background may be able to complete these programmes in four years, students with a 10+2+3 background with a B.Sc. degree, admitted on advanced standing basis will require two to three years to finish the programme. The vast majority of students who are admitted for these degrees also aspire and work for a second degree from B.E. (Hons.), M.M.S., B.Pharm. degrees under the dual degree scheme.

I'm an undergraduate student at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. To start with, the very day I got registered in this university, some alumni while delivering a speech during our orientation, said, "This is a home away from home. It has been more than a decade since I graduated from this university, and now when I stand here, I feel as if this aura is magical." It has been a year and I already have enough reasons to connect with those lines. You may browse the world wide web and get a proper statistical analysis of the placement packages and career opportunities offered to graduate students over the past years, but no matter how high the placement ratio might be, the basic motive and purpose of education here is not bound to a 9-to-5 job. The faculty members, professors, be in any field, promote research, budding of innovative ideas among students, as well as their overall personality development. Talking about the overall development of an individual, college is probably the last time you may, when one can freely explore all fields of life and discover one's actual interest. Well, BITS might just be the best place in India for that purpose. A plethora of clubs and cultural associations, just hop into whatever suits your interests. These clubs are basically student organizations, developed over time. However varying your hobby may be (be it movies, reading, coding, photography, singing dancing acting, computer gaming, cooking, art and drawing, sports, or even Rubik's cube,) we might just have the right place for you. Also, BITS Pilani hosts the best fests in the country, including BOSM (sport's festival), Oasis (cultural festival, and the third best college best in Asia), and APOGEE (technical fest). All these fests are student organised, with a variety of student departments and clubs working for them. Thus, event management (be it sponsorship, correspondence, or controlling) is another skill you develop through the years. Well, in the end, I would say that life here gives you a journey through yourself. Thank you
