Hello Dear Student,
Between Manipal Institute of Technology Bengaluru and Vellore Institute of Technology for CSE Core , VIT Vellore generally has the stronger overall reputation, larger recruiter pool, and more established placement ecosystem.
However, the choice changes depending on the fee category:
In terms of student experience:
For pure placement potential and brand value in CSE, VIT Vellore has an edge . For campus life, student freedom, and a more personalized experience, Manipal Bengaluru is often preferred .
Overall:

Hello dear student,
To gain admission to BITS Pilani, diploma holders must appear for the BITSAT examination and satisfy the institute's eligibility requirements. A diploma alone is not sufficient for admission.
• Admission to BITS Pilani is primarily through BITSAT, the institute's entrance examination.
• Candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for engineering programs.
• A minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is generally required, along with at least 60% marks in each subject individually.
• BITS Pilani does not offer lateral entry into the second year of its B.E. programs. All admitted students begin from the first year, regardless of any diploma qualification they may hold.
• Diploma holders who have also completed the required 10+2 qualification with the necessary subjects and marks can apply through the regular BITSAT admission process.
Therefore, if your goal is to study at BITS Pilani, you will need to meet the standard Class 12 eligibility criteria and qualify through BITSAT, as direct admission based solely on a diploma is not available.

Hi,
With a BITSAT score of 188, getting an Integrated M.Sc program at BITS Pilani main campus may be difficult this year. However, you can still have some chances in:
• BITS Hyderabad – M.Sc Biological Sciences/Chemistry (borderline)
• BITS Goa – difficult but possible only if cutoffs drop slightly.
Previous cutoff trends:
• Hyderabad M.Sc Physics/Maths usually closed above 200+
• Biological Sciences and Chemistry were comparatively lower.
You should definitely sit for counselling because cutoffs can vary each year and later iterations sometimes drop slightly.
Hope it helps.
Hi,
With 86.511 percentile, OBC-NCL category, and Army ward quota, you should definitely participate in JoSAA and CSAB counselling because you can still get decent ECE/EEE options in lower NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Army ward quota can also help in some institutes.
For ECE/EEE, you can target:
• NIT Srinagar
• NIT Agartala
• NIT Meghalaya
• NIT Mizoram
• NIT Nagaland
• IIIT Bhagalpur
• IIIT Una
• IIIT Kottayam
• GFTIs through CSAB special rounds
Since BITSAT and AIT did not work out, your best option now is:
• JoSAA counselling
• CSAB special rounds (very important)
• State counselling if eligible
All the best.
Hi,
With a BITSAT Session 1 score of 202 and applying for B.Pharm, you actually have pretty decent chances, especially at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus and possibly even Pilani campus depending on final cutoffs.
Recent B.Pharm cutoffs have generally stayed much lower than engineering branches, often around 150–175 marks in many campuses.
So with 202, your chances for B.Pharm are definitely good. You should still appear for Session 2 if possible because a higher score can improve campus preference and overall safety.
Hope it helps. All the best!
With your scores, you still have quite a few good options, especially because of UP domicile and female quota advantages.
Good possibilities include:
• Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow → ECE/AI-related branches possible
• Harcourt Butler Technical University → good core/electronics branches
• Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology → strong chances for CSE/IT
• Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology → good CSE chances
• Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women → great option through JAC Delhi
Private colleges like JSS Academy of Technical Education, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, and KIET Group of Institutions are also very achievable for CSE/IT.
And even with 185 in BITSAT, you can still try for dual degree programs in BITS counselling.
So honestly, you still have a pretty solid set of options , just plan counselling carefully and keep both ambitious + safe choices.
Hope it helps. All the best!
