Course Overview

With this course of Introductory Organic Chemistry, I offered by Swayam; the students will learn about the element that makes up nearly everything around us- Carbon-and makes our life possible. The candidates of this course will be provided free education about the different day to day items that use carbon compounds and how to make them, for example, oil, paints, clothing, natural gas and pharmaceutical drugs.

Education

The candidates applying for this course must have information about basic general/physical chemistry.

Certification Qualifying Details

The participants who manage to secure an average of 25% in the best six assignments out of the eight assignments allotted by Swayam and a minimum of 75% in the end term proctored exams will be awarded the certification in the course. 

Please note: The score in the assignments should at least be 10/25 and in the final exam 30/75 to be eligible for obtaining the certificate. If these criteria are not met, certification will not be provided.

Swayam has collaborated with IISER Pune to bring the course of Introductory Organic Chemistry I to the aspiring students. The course will be taught by Prof. Neeraja Dashaputre and Prof. Harinath Chakrapani.

8: Do we get a certificate after completing a course?

The students who want a certificate have to enrol for the final delegated exam which is conducted at various exam centers for which they have to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/-. The certification provided will contain details such as your name, photograph and the marks obtained. The logos of NPTEL and IIT Madras will also be present on the certificate.

9: On what basis does SWAYAM provide a certificate?

Any individual who wants a course certificate has to meet with certain conditions which are: 

  • the average assignment grade should be at least 10/25 and,
  • the percentage obtained by him/her in the examination should be 30/75. If these two conditions are met, only then will the individual become entitled to the course certificate.
