Amity University | B.Sc Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings)
Hello,
Since the exact situation depends on the seta matrix, the quantity of applicants, and the preferences of the applicants, it is difficult to predict. In the combined IISERs, there are 1700 places, and the IISER aptitude test fills around 1300 of them.
Therefore, based on your rating, we may conclude that it is challenging to enrol in any IISER. In the final stages, there is a slim chance that you would be selected for a newer IISER such as Bhopal or any other IISER. We may rely on that to secure admission because typically a large number of students drop out after being accepted into their preferred NIT, OOT, or medical college.
Hope for best.
Thank You
Hello,
As the IISER counselling procedure is set to begin, they launch the website for registration. Choosing the JEE Advanced channel or their own aptitude exam, they update seat allocation results in the site after each round. You build a profile on the website to register and fill out your preferences, and it is on your profile that you can see if you have been offered a seat at any IISER.
Thank You
Hello,
Three channels—JEE Advanced, KVPY, and SCB—are available for applicants to the 5-year BS-MS degree programme at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research. The IISER aptitude exam must be taken by the student who wishes to apply through the SCB channel.
A candidate is only permitted to take the IISER Aptitude Test twice in their lifetime, according to the official announcement.
You can click the following link to learn more about the IISER test.
As per your query, you are not eligible because you already given your 2nd attempt.
Thank You
Dear Aspirant,
It is not easy to predict the exact cutoff and admission situation as it depends on a lot of unpredictable factors like the number of students attempting the exam, the preferences of the students and the seat matrix of the college.
There are about 1700 seats in IISERs and about 1300 are reserved for IAT Candidates and in this about 130 seats are reserved for EWS candidates.
Looking at this we can say that you have a good chance of getting into IISER Tirupati and Berhampur and a small chance of getting into IISER Mohali or Thiruvananthapuram.
Please check the link below for more details on the cutoffs.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
IISERs don’t declare cutoff. They also don’t reveal individual marks. Students only get to know whether they are selected or not. So, it’s difficult to predict IISER cutoff.
Below are the estimated cutoffs.
Seeing the cut-off trends of the previous 3 years, a score above 105 will be enough to secure you a seat in 1st round itself.
Looking at the trends we can say that out of 1700 seats in IISER about 1300 are reserved for the IAT.
In conclusion, we can say that it is quite difficult for you to get into IISER with an overall rank of 11701 considering you belong to general category.
Analysing all these, you have a small chance of getting into IISERs in the post allotment rounds after students drop out once they get admission into other engineering or medical colleges.
So please keep other options open.
Regards

4. The seat matrix of the college

The possibility of admission depends on a lot of factors like the number of students willing to take admission, the seat matrix of the college and the preferences of the students.
There are only 1300 seats that are filled via IAT category and hence if you belong to the general category it might be quite difficult to get into IISERs. A rank Below 5 K would be safe.
