Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University is a central university that was developed in 1987 and located in New Delhi, India. It was known as Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, acquired Deemed University status in the year 2002 and also got the Central University status in 2020. The aim of the university is focusing on the encouragement and conservation of Sanskrit literature. Located in a campus of 10.65 acres, it has 75 courses from 8 degree programmes where the total number of students intake is 1496. The university is accredited by NAAC and approved by UGC and thus it stands as one of the foremost universities in learning Sanskrit in India.

Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University has training facilities for academics within modern society and for its teaching processes.
