At present Achutha Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre provides only one basic course that is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Science (BAMS). This course is a 6 years full time integrated course where every aspect of Ayurvedic medicine is taught. This course aims at providing students with the skills and knowledge about Ayurvedic health care both as knowledge and as practice. The admission policy is designed to be selective towards serious and talented aspirants who share an interest in Ayurveda medicine.
The admission into Achutha Ayurvedic Medical College for the BAMS program is on a merit basis primarily through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). NEET is another form of competitive entrance examinations held across the country for BAMS. Thus, an aspirant must qualify the NEET exam and score marks that meet the cut-off to gain entry into the college.
Eligibility for admission into the BAMS program at Achutha Ayurvedic Medical College requires the candidate to have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. A minimum qualifying mark of 50 percent in aggregate in these subjects (45 percent for SC/ST/OBC) was required.
