    About Bharathi College of Pharmacy, Mandya

    Bharathi College of Pharmacy, Mandya, was started in 1985 Bettada Palli, Mandya, Karnataka and is an affiliated college. This PCI approved pharmacy institute offers a wide range of pharmacy programmes. The college is located on a 25 acre land, with a total admission capacity of 538 students and fifty three teaching faculties. Bharathi College of Pharmacy offers ten courses under four degrees with various fields of specialty in pharmaceuticals. The institute shares its student admission between males and females making the learning environment of prospective pharmacists diverse.

    There are many facilities at the college to improve the students' academic activities and personality. The campus of Bharathi College of Pharmacy consists of well furnished different hostels for boys and girls for more than 750 students far from the dinning noises. A students health centre with first aid facilities are necessary for any school. Located at the ground floor, the college library resources include books, journals and periodicals. As for physical fitness, students have a gym and various facilities for carrying out sport activities. Modern learning requirements are facilitated by the IT structure; an air-conditioned large hall includes cultural activities, and academic functions. A cafeteria service offers healthy foods, and a transport service means the school offers secure means of transport for students and the staff.

    The total number of courses offered in the Bharathi College of Pharmacy is ten and all the courses are full-time programmee. These include course offered at undergraduate level, postgraduate level and doctoral level in the field of pharmacy. The B.Pharma programme has the sanctioned intake capacity of one hundred and the D.Pharma course the sanctioned intake capacity of sixty. In Pharm.D programme student capacity is 30. M.Pharma is also offered in the college and different specialisations are part of this programme. This means that the institute is committed to offering full, regular, and comprehensive course in pharmaceutical education.

    Bharathi College of Pharmacy, situated in Mandya, is one such desirable institution which offers a wide range of pharmacy programs. The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has accredited the college, and admissions into the different programs offered by the college are done on a merit basis.

    An admission procedure usually begins after the declaration of results for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), which is the principal entrance test for admission into undergraduate courses in pharmacy. The academic session generally begins in August-September before which admissions may take place.

    For undergraduate courses such as B.Pharma, KCET scores are considered the principal criterion for admission into the college. D.Pharma follows a similar approach for selection of candidates into the programme, whereas eligibility criteria for the Pharm.D programme would differ from those of the KCET. Eligibility for B.Pharma and D.Pharma entails completion of 10+2 with core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics-or equivalent. For Pharm.D, eligibility is 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics or D.Pharma from an established board.

    Application Process

    For the B.Pharm and D.Pharm programs:

    1. Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET).

    2. Register for appearance of counseling conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority-KEA.

    3. Select Bharathi College of Pharmacy, Mandya as the preferred institution in the counseling process.

    4. If allotted a seat, candidates are expected to report to the college with documents for verification and admission formalities.

    For Pharm.D program:

    1. KCET scores are likely to be involved in the details of this process, but may require some additional requirements.

    2. Further special instructions shall be received through the admissions office.

    For M.Pharm programs:

    1. This can be based either on merit or through some entrance test.

    2. Candidates holding degrees such as B.Pharm can directly apply at the concerned college.

    3. The candidates after being short-listed will be invited for interviews or tests.

    For Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate:

    1. B.Pharm graduates may directly apply at the college.

    2. Selection may be based on B.Pharm scores as well as conduct an interview.

    B.Pharm

    2. Seats: 100

    3. Eligibility: 10+2 in Physics and Chemistry and Biology/Maths

    4. Admitted according to the performance of candidates in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)

    D.Pharm

    1. Duration: 2 years

    2. Seats: 60

    3. Eligibility: 10+2 with necessary subjects

    4. Depending on KCET scores, admission is in the same way as in B.Pharm.

    Pharm.D

    1. Duration: 6 years

    2. Intake: 30 seats

    3. Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics or D.Pharma

    4. Considered KCET score as well as other entry criteria still to be announced for Pharm.D.

    5. Admission likely to be based on KCET scores and other requirements.

    M.Pharm

    1. Duration: 2 years

    2. Specialization: Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Pharmaceutics

    3. Eligibility: A B.Pharm degree is usually required for admission, which may involve either an entrance exam or merit-based selection.

    Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate

    1. Eligibility: B.Pharma graduates

    2. Admission may be based on the performance in B.Pharma as well as an interview.
