Delhi School of Journalism as a constituent part of Delhi University offering education at journalism and mass communication level. Meanwhile, the school adopts a very competitive admission procedure to attract brilliant and zealous students from across India. Most importantly, DSJ employs the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programs (CUET UG) to take admission to this institute; this is considered to be the fairest and most objective entry point for selection. The CUET UG exam for the next session will be held in between May 15, 2025, and May 24, 2025. This functions as an important scale for admissions into the integrated Journalism Bachelor and Master degree programs available for this course. Generally, students are advised to prepare well for CUET UG because the merit lists will depend on performance in this test.
Application Process
The application process for Delhi School of Journalism goes with the centralized admission system of the University of Delhi which is basically CUET UG based process. This is the step-by-step application process:
1. Register for CUET UG: To begin with, an applicant needs to register for the CUET UG exam through the NTA website. Generally, the application for CUET UG starts around Early Spring.
2. CUET UG Examination: Prepare and appear in the CUET UG exam on the given dates (May 15-24, 2025). The exam is online.

8. Fee Payment: After verification of the document, candidates must deposit the admission fee mentioned for securing their seat.
Degree wise Admission Procedure
Integrated Bachelor of Journalism and Master of Journalism (5-year programme): It offers admission into this course through the CUUT UG, and this flagship programme of DSJ is fully integrated for all journalism education at undergraduate level and postgraduate level. This comprehensive understanding into journalism leads to a five-year program culminating in the award of bachelor's and master's degrees in both fields.
BA Journalism (3-year programme): The college has been offering this three-year BA in Journalism to those desiring to take a focused undergraduate study on this subject. While no specific admission details have been stated, it would be safe to assume that the CUET UG score would also apply to this programme in accordance with the college's general admission policy.
MA Journalism (2-year programme): This is for students intending to take their master's degree studies at the DSJ, to be offered as a two-year Master of Arts in Journalism. There are no specific admission requirements, thereby giving prospective students a warning of possible highly competitive selection measures that would probably consider their undergraduate performance and relevant entrance scores.
Academics is actually good here. Most professors are very helpful and explain things well. The syllabus covers a lot about journalism and media trends, but they should include more practical stuff like real-life reporting. Assignments are useful but sometimes feel too much. Overall, I’m learning a lot, but they could make it more exciting.
The teachers are very experienced and talented they treat students as their friends they are very cooperative and helpful they give the best guidance to their students and they teach very good by clearing all doubts
We had the study of basic of news and history of media along with French and Urdu I would say the course is really interesting and is a great. I personally like it and you have to chose between regional and foreign language
