Government Medical College and Hospital Nagpur is spread over an area of 196 acres. All the departments started operating within a few days. In the beginning, the college was started in the Engineering School campus, Sadar, Nagpur. The college initially started functioning with only undergraduate programmes, but now offers admission to postgraduate programmes in various disciplines. All the courses are approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Government Medical College, Nagpur is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. GMC, Nagpur offers diploma, UG, PG and doctoral programmes to the students. The College has various infrastructural facilities for the students and the facilities available at the college are library, boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel, gymnasium, laboratories etc. It provides vigorous learning environments to the students.
