LJ Institute of Physiotherapy, Ahmedabad Admission Process

LJ Institute of Physiotherapy, affiliated to LJ University and located in Ahmedabad, is known as an institute of excellence in the field of physiotherapy education. The institute adopts a selective admission process to ensure that only capable, dedicated students make it into the program.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.PT: LJIPT offers a 4-year undergraduate Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program. Admission is on the basis of a candidate's 10+2 clearing examinations in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. The institute can carry out other screening procedures for the selection of the best candidates among those sitting for the limited seats available.

MPT Orthopedic: This two-year postgraduate course is posted in Orthopedic Physiotherapy, awarded by the institute under the title LJIPT with an offering of 12 seats. It is for those who have a BPT and is supplemented by an entrance exam and/or interview part of the selection procedure.

MPT Neurology: The other program is a 2-year Masters of Physiotherapy in Neurology and has 12 seats available, and among the admission criteria, one is to have a BPT and may sit for an entrance exam and/or interview for checking the candidate's knowledge in neurological physiotherapy.

MPT Cardiopulmonary: This special 2-year program enrolling 12 students also has a BPT degree as eligibility criteria. Selection will comprise taking an entrance test and interview testing concepts of cardiopulmonary physiotherapy.

MPT Rehabilitation: The 2-year MPT in Rehabilitation program offers an intake of 12 trainees. Candidates undertaking the BPT course can apply and will likely face screening with an entrance exam and/or interview to gauge their understanding of rehabilitation physiotherapy.
