SOL infrastructure is pretty good as it is open institution, there's is library where you'll get study material etc. No WiFi facility is available although food served here is pretty good both in taste and hygiene.
I enrolled myself in the course B.Com (Hons.) because my background and interests both relies in commerce. So, I would say that the faculty here is really motivating and well educated. Also, curriculum is nicely designed and gives you complete bookish knowledge but unfortunately it doesn't makes you job ready because of lack of exposure.
As, we know it's a open institution and most of the students here are either working or enrolled in some professional courses, so placements opportunities here are almost NIL. Although a placement portal is formed a year ago and hardly 1-2 companies visited but I haven't seen anyone getting placed to it.
Course fee is really affordable it's almost 10,000 combined of all three years so, it's absolutely value for money.
Campus Life of SOL is not very happening it's satisfactory only. Classes are here are held on weekends only and there is no compulsion to attend it also, so, exposure and networking opportunity is really low there.
My overall experience with this course and college is good.
College infrastructure is soo good......... facilities are normal good there only fans is working ....not ac. Smartborsds are there bot wifi.......the place is clean and food is hygienic.....its good .
Academic is also good.....I studying b.com .....bcos I am from commerce background and I want to be a CA...or anything else in this line .........no not fully study makes job ready......its good ......
Above 50% mark of student were placed....students easily get placements and admissions in college....yes college is supportive..there is many things....I suggestthis to students..all over it's good....
₹4000-5000 per year
Some campus is good and some is average
Noo
Generally my colleges keep on changing so there are some colleges which have each and every necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment but there are few colleges which need to be upgraded. Yes living spaces use to be clean.
I am studying BA programme. Quality of teaching is awesome. Yes curriculum is fully updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. It depend on the student how he studies, because as we have only weekend classes so there are less time which we spend in colleges.
As such it is not a regular college so there is no terms like placement (I don't have the full knowledge about this) . But this college is beneficial for those who are preparing for government examination.
3-4 thousands are the cost per year for my course. It is totally worthy because each and every study material is provided by Sol with no cost.and every book is worthy.
Due to weekend classes we get less opportunity to live campus life.
The infrastructure average but yes library is quite good every book according to a student's need is there. But yes there is no wifi connection for students. And about hygiene there is hygiene only in some centers.
The curriculum is excellent like we can get the best of best knowledge and professors and Faculty is highly qualified. And the teacher there Will provide us good quality education in a Very friendly way.
See there is Placement but not that much fancy their placement are limited to the startup like urban clap so don't be just dependent on the college to get placed somewhere it's Better if you go for Govt exam and higher studies but yet it depends on which course you are doing.
It costs around 4000 a year and it's totally worthy.
Campus life is not that much lavish or you say there is not Any single activity apart from studies but teachers are very supportive and to reach there is also very easy by metro by Bus both are available.
College infrastructure is quite decent i have visited my college very less i usually visited when i had a paper . Whenever i visit i find it quite clean and the food i ate in the canteen is hygienic for the students
In Academics the college teachers are good but students don't come to the classes or college that much . This course doesn't make me ready for the future . Curriculum doesn't need to be changed for the future .
Placement are just like no to every student . Students don't make to the placements . Percentage of students goes for the placements is just like 0 percetage . Placement process is quite simple for the students .
This college is quite value for the money as the fees is not that much and students also don't come to college that much which saves travelling expenses also . I am getting my money worth in this college .
Campus life is not that much as i don't go to college that much and i also saw very time some different students whenever i go for the exams that means many students don't go to the college at all in SOL Colleges
We don't know about college infrastructure because we go to college once in a while . But i know college has smart board facilities for the students . College and classroom was clean and haven't taste my canteen food at all.
In Terms of academics this college is quite average as teachers don't come to college and we don't go to college that much . Curriculum needs to be changed for the students . This course can't make me job ready for the future i think that .
Placement is quite poor in our college and and teachers are also not that much supportive to the students . More over college don't help the students with placements . Placement process lot of students don't know about it .
This college is value for money for everyone as the fees is only 10000 which is very nominal for the students and we only have to pay the test fees that all and the value of degree is quite high for the students .
I don't know about our campus that much as i have visited my campus very less its distant learning program we don't visit our college that much . Location wise college is quite placed in central of delhi
The infrastructure at SOL of Delhi University is quite fine. All the basic facilities are provided there. We are provided with all our books there.Besides paper back books it also provide us a variety of online material , library to study. Everything is well maintained and well disciplined.Hygiene is maintained in all centres of SOL.I am very well satisfied with facilities provided at SOL.
I am preparing for some kind of civil services .So I choose School of Open Leaning of completing my Graduation in BCom.But even though our clases held on only weekends, but curriculum goes well.It is well updated and has all modifications. It just depend on you ,how to maintain your balance with studies. You have to make use of these resources and opportunities ,only then it make you ready for job.
Well I don't have proper knowledge about placements provided by SOL.But college is quite supportive in all others forms. It provide us many resources to explore new talents and opportunities.During the course many sidewise programs are introduced to make students learn something new.The environment and campus is quite pleasant.
My course cost 3000 maximum per year.Yeah I absolutely feel that I am getting my money's worth. If tell everyone honestly,if you want to prepare for competitive exams like Chartered Accountant,Civil Services and also sidewise complete graduation with quality education ,then School of Open Learning is best place to choose. If you are thinking for same ,and finding college then don't take your steps back.
Campus life is really good at SOL.The first reason for it is that it comes under University of Delhi, which is one of best Central university of India. If you take admission In SOL, you can easily visit any college of Delhi University and can attend their fests and functions. It gives you chance to meet a number of people and learn a lot.All students , teacher are very supportive.
If you want to enjoy a unique a college life ,then you must join School of Open Learning. It will give you chance to live a college life which is different from others.
Its a distance learning program but very few times i went to the college and i found out that classes are quite clean but the atmosphere is quite low for students.Facilities are not that much good as compare to regular colleges
In terms of academics classes don't happen that much. Quality of teaching is also quite average and the curriculum is very different from regular colleges.I don't think so this course makes me job ready
Placement are almost null here no company's wants a student from distance learning. Not much higher salary are awarded to the students. Moreover teachers are not that much supportive to the students .
My course cost me around twenty thousand a year and yes i think i am getting my moneys worth . I can easily stay home a study well as there is not such attendance stuff in this college . I am quite happy in terms of money
there is no such campus feel for the distant learner they dont come to college that much but when ever i visit to the college is always related to some exams or work i dont usually go to college that much
Hello,
Recently, UGC has approved a proposal to allow students to pursue two degree programmes at the same time. One of the degrees has to be in the regular mode and the other either in open and distance learning or online. However, in case you're asking if you can get in both the Universities in regular mode then it is not possible.
Also, there are a lot of universities who are not yet accepting the dual degree policy. They may accept it from a year or so as it was released this year. So you should get in contact with the college to know more about it.
I hope this helps,
All the best
yes , you get admission in B com in any university or college
