The Sri Devaraj URS Medical College (SDUMC), Kolar is a constituent of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (SDUAHER), a Deemed to be University, approved by UGC. The college comes under the aegis of Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes, Kolar, is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college and the University are located at Tamaka village, Kolar and spread over almost 100 acres of lush green campus. The college offers medical courses at undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD, MS) and postgraduate diploma and PhD levels. For teaching hospital, SDUMC is attached to R.L.Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre.
Location: Sri Devaraj URS Medical College, Kolar is located at Tamaka, Kolar, Karnataka. The campus is 75 km away from Bangalore as well as the Bangalore International Airport. The Kolar Railway Junction is about 6 km from the college and Kolar Bus Depot is about 5 km from the college.

ICMR: The club develops research culture among the students, The club organizes special guest lectures of eminent scientists and is encouraged to participate in research methodology workshops.
Demedcon: This is the National Level Undergraduates (UG) Medical Conference, which brings medical undergraduates from all over India in one platform. This interacts with experts in various field and share and promotes research. It orient students towards the importance of communication skills, empathy and professionalism in medical practice. The conference also provides an opportunity to participate in academic activities like quiz, clinicopathological conference and street plays and update knowledge about various approaches in clinical practices and improve the level of patient care.
Digital classrooms and laboratories: SDUMC has interactive whiteboards, which enable teachers to share online resources and software specifically designed for each individual subject. Electronic handsets make lectures interactive and enable teachers to post questions and elicit responses at key points of the lessons.

Admissions 2021
The Sri Devaraj URS Medical College (SDUMC), Kolar offers MBBS, MD/MS, PG Diploma and PhD programmes. To get an admission to MBBS, candidates need to appear for the NEET UG and appear for the state counselling. For PG, candidates need to appear for NEET PG. the detailed admission process of the courses are given below:
The admission process of SDUMC for MBBS:
Medical aspirants have to appear for NEET UG Entrance Examination and obtain a valid score.
They have to apply for centralised counselling conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
DGHS will do the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats based on NEET UG Score and list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed in DGHS website.
For the state-level counselling, candidates need to register with the state counselling authority body as the 85% seats will be allotted by the state counselling body.
The counselling authorities will allot the seat on the basis of NEET score, preferences of colleges and courses.
Candidates who choose to accept the allotted college have to report to the institute for document verification and completion of other admission processes.
The admission process of SDUMC for MD and MS:
Candidates have to appear for NEET PG Entrance Examination and obtain a valid score.
