IIT Kharagpur Courses & Fees Structure 2024

IIT Kharagpur do not offer a five-year, Integrated BTech plus MBA programme. It offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme at the postgraduate level. The admission to the MBA at IIT Kharagpur's Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) is based on percentile obtained by candidates in the CAT followed by the Personal Interview.

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme at IIT Kharagpur must either have a Bachelor's degree of minimum four-year duration in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy, or must have a Master's degree in Science/ Economics/ Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor's level). General/ EWS/ OBC category candidates must obtain a minimum of 60% aggregate (or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale), and SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates must obtain a minimum of 55% aggregate (or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying examination.

The application window for IIT Kharagpur's MSc, BArch, and MTech programs for 2024 is currently open. The institute accepts JEE Advanced results for admission to its flagship BTech curriculum. To appear for JEE Advanced, candidates must pass the JEE Main exam. The institute also accepts CAT results for MBA admission. In addition to its flagship curriculum, IIT Kharagpur provides students with PhD programs, LLM, MBA, E-MBA, Integrated MTech, Integrated MSc, and BSc/BS programs.

See there are no boundaries for females, regarding Mining. So if you want to go for the mining then there is no problem being a female candidate. Now CSE in NIT DURGAPUR is quite good but the exposure to the field you will get in IIT KGP will be far more fetched. The teachers as well as the environment you will get will be far better than what you will experience at NIT Durgapur. Although the CSE is one of the most employable fields so you can go for it. But personally the environment IIT's provide the students, actually gives them the rigor to get a personality and stress management.

Now I would recommend you to choose which one you feel like but if you go for IIT's then also you can participate in different placements for CSE as well . So apart from the subject there is not a huge difference in terms of career establishment.
