NTA SWAYAM Exam Schedule 2026

The NTA SWAYAM July 2026 semester exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam duration is three hours, and the examination will be held in two sessions per day. The exam timings are given below:

The 662 courses are divided into 10 shifts, and the examination will be held in 173 cities across India. Candidates can check the course-wise exam schedule and the list of exam cities on the official SWAYAM website.

Candidates enrolled in multiple SWAYAM courses can choose only one course in each shift and appear for a maximum of 10 papers across 10 shifts. Once candidates select a course and pay the examination fee, they cannot change their course selection.

NTA SWAYAM July 2026 Exam Centre Selection

Candidates applying for the SWAYAM July 2026 semester exam must select four preferred cities for their examination centre while filling out the application form. NTA will try to allot an exam centre based on the cities chosen by the candidate. However, a centre in a nearby city may be allotted due to administrative or logistical reasons.

Once the exam city is allotted, candidates cannot change it after the application correction window closes. NTA will not accept requests to change the allotted exam city after this period.

• Students who have enrolled in any of the 662 courses offered in the July 2026 semester are eligible to appear for the examination of that course.
• Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in the term-end written test conducted by NTA and 40% marks in the internal assessment separately to qualify for a certificate and credit transfer.

For Students Who Want to Appear in Multiple Exams: Students can choose only one course in each shift and can appear for a maximum of 10 papers across 10 shifts. Those enrolled in multiple courses should ensure that their selected courses are scheduled in different shifts.

• Visit the official website – swayam.nta.ac.in.

• Click on the SWAYAM 2026 Registration link available on the homepage.

• Create an account or log in using valid credentials.

• Select the desired course(s) from the list of 900 options.

• Fill in the required details and upload the necessary documents.

• Pay the examination fee (if applicable).

• Submit the application and download the confirmation page for future reference
