MICA will announce the MICAT 2027 result for Phase 1 on December 18, 2026, and for Phase 2, the MICAT 2027 result date will be released on February 28, 2027. The MICAT 2027 result will be declared in the form of a scorecard. The MICAT 2027 result mentions the qualifying status of the candidate. To check the MICAT 2027 exam result, candidates have to enter their login credentials in the login window.

The MICAT final result will be computed after the GE and PI rounds are completed. Selection, i.e., the final MICAT result, will be based on the CAT/XAT/GMAT performance, MICAT scores, and performance in GE & PI.

• Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university as per the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• He or she must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education in the format of 10+2+3.
• The graduation degree in any stream will be considered valid
• Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can still apply for MICAT 2027

MICA has begun the MICAT 2027 registration process for phase 1 online. Candidates can fill out and submit the phase 1 MICAT 2027 application form till November 22, 2026, by visiting the official website, mica.ac.in. After filling out the MICAT 2027 application form, candidates of all categories have to pay a fee of Rs. 2500. The MICAT application fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, or demand draft.

How to Fill MICAT Exam Form 2027

Step 1: Registration for MICAT: First, Candidates have to register using their valid email address and password.

Step 2: Fill an application form of MICAT 2027: After registration, candidates have to fill in all the information, such as personal details, academic details, and work experience (if any), and select at least three preferred exam centres from the list available. Candidates have to select the city where they would like to present for the group exercise and personal interview.

Step 3: Exam selection: Candidates should select the test in which they have appeared: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT

Step 4: Upload Photo and Signature: Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature with a file size not more than 80 KB and in JPG or JPEG format.

Step 5: Application fee payment: Rs. 2500 has to be paid by an applicant online through the following modes:

Step 6: Submission of MICAT application form: Candidates have to click on the submit button after fee payment.

Candidates preparing for the MICAT exam should check the MICAT exam pattern for 2027. What to carry along with the admit card of MICAT 2027?

Candidates will have to carry proof of the following identity documents along with the MICAT 2027 admit card; otherwise, their entry will be restricted inside the examination hall:

Candidates who are going to appear for the entrance exam should know that the MICAT 2027 exam process consists of four steps, as explained below:

Step I: Valid Scores in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT

All applicants must have a valid score in any one of the following: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT. The scores of these national-level management entrance exams will be considered in the compilation of the final merit list. CAT 2026/ XAT 2027/ GMAT score should be entered while filling out the online application form of MICAT. For the XAT score, only the XAT registration number should be mentioned. The authority will collect the XAT score directly from XLRI.

Step-II: MICA Admission Test (MICAT 2027).

MICAT is the computer-based test expected to be held in exam centres across 48 cities in the country. The test has three sections, as mentioned below

• Section A: Psychometric Test
• Section B: Descriptive Test
• Section C: (has 4 Sub-Sections) - Divergent and Convergent Thinking; Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, Data Interpretation and General awareness.

Step-III: Group Exercise & Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for both Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of their performance in CAT/ XAT/GMAT and MICAT.

Step-IV: Candidates will be offered admission based on the final composite score compiled as follows;

• CAT/XAT/GMAT: 35%
• MICAT: 25%
• GE: 10%
• PI: 20%

How will candidates be shortlisted for GE & PI rounds?

1. For GE & PI, the Psychometric test will be the first step to qualify.

2. For those who qualify in the Psychometric test, their CAT/XAT/GMAT performance will be taken into consideration 

3. Those who will qualify based on the CAT/XAT cutoff or GMAT score will further be assessed on the following MICAT sections: Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General Awareness (GA), and Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT).

4. Those candidates who will qualify based on performance, subject to a minimum cutoff in a scaled score for each of these sections (namely: VA, QADI, GA and DCT) and CAT/XAT cut-off or GMAT scores, will have their Descriptive Tests analysed for selection.

Note: The list of qualified candidates will be prepared based on scores of both phases of the MICAT 2027 entrance exam if a candidate has taken both MICAT-I and MICAT-II.

Expected Seats for MICA Admission

PGDM/ PGDM-C Admission to MICA takes place through a single-tier filtering process; performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT; performance in the MICAT test, and performance in GE and PI.

MICAT Shortlisting Criteria for GE and PI and Preparation of Final Merit List

Step 1: Section-A (psychometric test) is first checked. This section is a qualifier.

Step 2: Those who qualify through Section-A, their relative performance on the CAT exam/ XAT test/ GMAT exam is considered. A minimum cutoff in CAT/GMAT score/XAT total percentile shall be considered (Best of the 3 scores is considered.)

Step 3: Those who qualify based on the performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT, their Section C (all sub-sections) of MICAT is assessed.

• Section-C scores are normalized. The evaluation uses percentiles and raw scores for each sub-section and requires a minimum cut-off.
• Those who qualify through Section-C, their performance in Section-B is evaluated. 
• NOTE: Both Section-C and Section-B have a sectional cutoff (percentile and raw scores).
• Those who qualify through Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 will be considered for GE and PI shortlisting. Candidates who are shortlisted will be called for GE and PI at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, or Mumbai.
• NOTE: GE and PI candidate lists are prepared using the composite score formula of 50% MICAT scores and 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT scores.

Step 4: Candidates who appear in GE and PI must be recommended by majority of the panelists of PI to be considered for the final merit list

The names of candidates will be given in the merit list, and their final composite score will be prepared on the following weightage:

• CAT/XAT/GMAT: 35%
• MICAT: 25%
• GE: 10%
• PI: 20%
