Infrastructure was good there were all the required facilities for learning and very beneficial for better understanding...there were places like libraries and open sitting for group studies for all students
Academic were better. Teacher were very cooperative and behave more like facilitators rather than the speakers. They try their best for every concept to make it understandable for every student's and learners
The college does provide mandatory placement training and mock interviews, which are helpful for cracking the initial aptitude rounds. However, because the batch size is so large, the internal competition is fierce.
Whether this college is value for money depends on what you prioritize. If you are paying for top-tier infrastructure, air-conditioned smart classrooms, well-maintained sports facilities, and high-end hostel living, then the fees feel justified. The campus environment is excellent.
Hostel life is the absolute heart of the experience here. The night canteen culture, late-night study sessions during exams, and casual sports matches in the evenings create an incredibly tight-knit bond among students
Nice college nice management,. Good coordination , better college rooms . Clean washrooms, well furnished Ac classrooms , cctv cameras available. Nice digital classrooms, better paint . And good materials
Impressed with teachers and their way of teaching. Better teacher children coordination and helping in clarifying doubts , better personal mentor ship and better communication, and helpfull for future
Placement were good many student got the placement but opportunity were very less and not ,,,,,,,, but many companies came but demand were different and less option,,, for us . But interview session were good
Cost of my graduation was very less rather very cheap facilities were good in comparison to fees and many courses were having very less fees including my subject,,,, planing to do other degrees as fees is very nominal
Campus was very good happening and cheerful good gardens and were flourished by flowers and the atmosphere of college campus was very positive and healthy and fella like very fresh and which keeps mind calm
Overall experience was very good cheerful mindful helpful and fruitful better exposure to various activities student were very mindful of involving in activities which create healthy environment for growth
Indira Gandhi national open university is one of the largest open university in world. This offers a quality education through distance and online learning. The university has a well developed infrastructure with a head quarter in new delhi.online platform learning support students across india.
Academically IGNOU is known for it’s wide range of undergraduate postgraduate diploma and certificate course. The study materials are comprehensive and the university follow a flexible learning system that allow students to study from their own place.the curriculum is regularly updated.
Placement in IGNOU vary from course to course.professional programs such as management, information technology and social work offers better placement through placement cells-and career guidance activities.however placement is not as extensive as regular university.
In terms of value for money Indira Gandhi national university is highly affordable and provides recognised degree at a low cost., making higher education accessible to a large number of students. The facility is good from IGNOU.
As it is a distance course campus life is not so active because most of the students study remotely. However workshop, seminar, counselling session and regional centres activities provides opportunities for interaction and learning.
This college provides good learing environment with supportive faculty and helpful staff the campus is well maintained and students gets various opportunities to participate in academics and other activities
The academic environment of this college is excellent the faculty members are knowledgeable experienced and supportive the curriculum is well structured and helps students develop both therotical and practical knowledge
The placement opportunities of this college is quite good the placement cell activily supports students by organising recruitment drives skill development programs mock interviews and carrerr guidance
Not a very great infrastructure but still to the point if someone wants to just do academic research they can definitely choose this college but this is a very bare minmum type of college with not a great infrastructure
Academic wise this is a great college overall the teacher and staff behaviour is kind of good but the educational team is really good they support each other and over all great experience out there, fair enough

My study centre was located in Rohini Sector 8. The classroom itself was decent, and since I attended sessions in January, the cold weather made it fairly comfortable. However, I imagine during summer it would get quite congested given the room size. On practical days, the centre felt overcrowded a large number of students turned up, and almost half of them had to stand outside since there wasn't enough space. The centre does have a lab, but it's quite small and can't comfortably accommodate the number of students attending practicals. Overall, the infrastructure is functional but could use improvement, especially in terms of space for practical sessions.
I am pursuing BA Honours Psychology through IGNOU. I chose this mode of study mainly because of safety concerns for women in regular colleges in Indian society, so distance education felt like a more secure option and also the fees were affordable then an regular college. Since it's not a regular college, classes are held only on Sundays. One major issue I faced was the delay in receiving study materials they took very long to arrive by post, so I eventually had to visit my regional centre personally and collect them myself. Apart from this, the course content itself is decent for building a foundation in psychology, though better material delivery systems would make the experience much smoother for students.
Being a distance education university, IGNOU does not offer any dedicated placement cell or campus placement support for BA Honours Psychology students. There are no companies that visit for recruitment, and no formal assistance is provided in terms of resume building, interview preparation, or job referrals. Students pursuing this course are largely on their own when it comes to finding internships or jobs related to psychology. This is fairly expected for a distance learning mode, but it would still be helpful if IGNOU provided at least some career guidance, webinars, or resource material related to job opportunities and higher studies in psychology.
The BA Honours Psychology program at IGNOU is extremely affordable compared to regular universities, costing only around ₹8,000-12,000 for the entire 3-year degree, paid in semester-wise installments. Given that a similar psychology degree from a private college could cost lakhs, IGNOU offers tremendous value for money. Even with the drawbacks like delayed study material and lack of placement support, the low cost combined with the flexibility of distance learning and the credibility of a recognized degree makes it a worthwhile investment, especially for students who cannot afford regular college or need a flexible, safer alternative to attend classes.
Since IGNOU is a distance learning university, there isn't much of a traditional "campus life" experience. Classes are held only on Saturdays and Sundays at the study centre, and apart from that, students visit only for practical sessions. There are no fests, clubs, regular social events, or day-to-day campus interaction like in regular colleges. Most of the studying is done independently at home using self-study materials. While this lack of campus life can feel isolating for students seeking a typical college experience, it works well for those who need flexibility due to work, family responsibilities, or safety concerns, as it allows learning without being bound to a daily campus routine.
I am currently pursuing B.Sc. Biochemistry from IGNOU, and my experience has been quite good. It allows students to study at their own pace. Overall, it is helpful for those who are working or preparing for other competitive examinations.
The study materials are provided in online or offline hard copy form according to students choice, which are detailed and easy to understand. The course content covers the fundamentals of biochemistry and related subjects well. The information is available on student portal . Sometimes information related to assignment and results are delayed.
As a B.Sc. Biochemistry student at IGNOU, I feel that placements are not the main strength of the university. While placement drives and career guidance programs are organized occasionally, students generally need to be proactive in searching for job opportunities and internships on their own. The degree is recognized and provides a good academic foundation, but career growth depends largely on the skills, practical experience, and additional qualifications acquired by the student. For those planning higher studies or competitive exams, the flexibility offered by IGNOU can be a significant advantage.
IGNOU offers excellent value for money. The course fees are quite affordable compared to most regular universities, while the degree is recognized across India. The study materials are comprehensive, and the flexibility to learn at your own pace makes it especially worthwhile for working students and those preparing for competitive exams. Considering the low cost and the quality of education provided, I believe IGNOU offers a very good return on investment.
Since IGNOU is an open university, the campus life is quite different from that of a regular college. Students do not experience daily classes, college events, or a traditional campus environment. Most learning is self-paced, with occasional visits to study centers for practicals, counseling sessions, or examinations. While this means fewer opportunities for social interaction, it provides great flexibility and independence. Students who actively participate in study center activities and online communities can still connect with peers and have a meaningful learning experience.
Indira Gandhi National open University is good for distance learning as you can easily get graduate from here you don't have to go college daily in weekends you can study there as they provide study centre to study also if you are a working person or want to work while doing your bachelors pr master's IGNOU is good option for studying

My course is max to 50k which is worth the money as I can study there also on weekdays I work on my skills so that I became job ready also IGNOU provides placement for those who want to study and do other work IGNOU is best and worth the money also
IGNOU provide study centre to study and I got pcti which is a little to far but it is safe and in best reputed place also so if the surrounding is good then what else you need my study centre is good for study as the teachers teach you there guide you for feature also with other students it becomes easy to study or you can it better than regular college
I would like to recommend all the hustlers to opt IGNOU for there further studies and utilise there time
As this is open distant learning programme. So I can't day anything about infrastructure. Infrastructure wise like how do I say it because I never had any experience of college life. My study Centre is nice btw.
Again It's ODL, they do not pay much attention to it. Because I hadn't attended any class. They attend few online classes although but how is that going to compensate things. They only pay attention to examinations.
No idea. I actually had no idea about it. But as I had heard from my seniors there is no placements like facility. Student do their courses from IGNOU mostly because most of them are preparing for few government exams.
Maybe.
No idea.
Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi provides distance education. It is good for the candidates who are willing to appear for some competitive government examinations. Infrastructure depends on the study centres provided by IGNOU.
The course structure is average. As it is an open university, they provide multiple study centres in india so the lab procedures and infrastructure for labs depend on the study centre only. It is usually decent.
There are no placements as such. since it is an open university you can not expect to get placed at a good company, furthermore, you need to work on your skills by yourself in order to land a good job.
i would say its average.
there is no campus life.
Hello,
Yes, in many cases you can pursue a D.Ed. Special Education (RCI-approved) and a distance BA from IGNOU simultaneously, provided both institutions permit dual enrolment and there is no violation of UGC, IGNOU, or RCI regulations.
Before taking admission, confirm the latest guidelines from both IGNOU and the concerned
