Contact classes are conducted in different colleges that you select. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has good infrastructural facilities at it's headquartered at New Delhi campus. he contact classes are usually held during the weekends. Apart from this, you might go to the regional center of IGNOU for any other interaction (e.g., loss of ID card, etc.)The study centres are generally running at a rented .
IGNOU has experienced faculties who take lectures as a counselor in each term of six months. The faculty members are good. They are quite qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum of IGNOU is good & well designed but has a big problem that it does not get updated on a regular interval. Apart from this, it could be during the project, if you have worked with a faculty that could guide you with your project in your chosen discipline.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) doesn't provide placements through campus recruitment because it's an open university. But the name and degree of IGNOU has much worth. Students can get a job through open campus placements and with the help of other employment services organisations. The roles of the candidates who were in the M.com program were mostly those who wanted to make it into a managerial role within their organization or in another organization of similar nature of the job that they were in. This course is primarily used as a career advancement one by most of the candidates.
My college is very well built and it has all the facilities and amenities which a student might need for their smooth study and completion of course or degree they are pursuing there. It have library, canteen, auditorium etc.
Indira gandhi national open university covers all degree or courses whether being certificate, bachelor or master degree. Teaching faculty is good having enough knowledge about thier expertise subject knowing how to deal with students and course.
I think iGNOU being distance learning organization provide less placement to student. It act as a degree provider to students coming to it. As ignou is well recognized university all over India, completing course from here carries good reputation with it.
Being distance learning organization college charges minimal amount of fees compared to other regular colleges. Students on job gets flexibility to pursue studies without any problem and time difficulty.
Students studying here does not meet regularly here mostly they meet on weekdays during classes. Campus life is not as good compared to regular colleges, students here communicate profesionally regarding study purpose.
Being and Open University it has present in all over India the main campus in Maidan Gar Delhi has a well stock library the university focuses on digitalisation and online support is given to students it is focused on distance learning and hence does not offer basic facilities like hostel canteen or sports
The syllabus for BA economics covers core concept like microeconomics macroeconomics Indian economic development and quantitative techniques the college focuses on self preparation digital resources for studying a provided to students
The universities has a well established placement cell that organisers job fairs for different courses in which students get access to opportunities in various sector such as banking public sector Research and analytics etc
The total is for program of Bachelor of Arts and economics ranges around 15000 for the entire 3 year course the course provides flexibility due to distance learning students can focus on other multiple courses the same time
There are no daily campus life as the college focuses on distant learning visits for practical sessions doubt clearing session and exams are held in the campus clubs and societies play a big part in the experience
IGNOU is a open university many students took admission here as a distance learner so I can say about infrastructure for my regional and study centre and it was good, and it varies for all the centres, other facilities like sports, access to library, medical facilities, wi-fi, labs are not provided in such centres, classes are held on weekends.
I had studied Ma in Sociology and the faculty of this university is appreciable they ensure utmost involvement of students, and try their best to share their knowledge with the students, they clear each and every doubt, and gives trips and ticks to crack and pass the examination easily, the passing percentage is around 70-80% in Ma sociology.
There is no placement facility available in my college, as if you want to take placement facility then you should go for a regular college, in open university, you would not get this facility, some recruiting companies come by chance. Overall the placement in Indira Gandhi National Open university is not very good.
The fees structure is very low you can done your Ma in Sociology in les than 10 thousand rupees which I think is a great thing about this university.
Many students opt this university for distance learning so if you are also choosing this university for distance learning then it is a good choice afterall fees are very low and many things are also good but the exams are not very easy to paas so you have to study hard to paas the examination .
IGNOU being a distance learning institution does not have a college campus. however it provides a well organised portal having study materials and lectures. it does not have physical classrooms or labs but the portal fulfils all the need we require as students.
i pursued MA english hons from this university. the curriculum is well structured and covered huge variety of literatures and theories. however, being a distance learning program, the interaction with the faculties was limited. research opportunities and exposure was minimal.
the university has a campus placement cell which organises placement drives and workshops for different courses. however, majority of students have to look for internships and job opportunities on self basis while the college helps in preparation to fetch those internships.
There's no college as such however the locations where practicals or other classes are conducted are quite decent and will equipped to handle the number of students as well as provide instruction properly.
Course content is unnecessarily lengthy and complicated and can be improved a lot. For open the comprehensiveness of material could have been better. However a lot of important topics are covered making it adequate.
There's little to no placement opportunities as it is an open degree course. Some guidance and information regarding that would have been ideal and helpful for students. Little support is provided however more could have been.
Great value for money.
Hardly any campus life because it's open University.
Since it is an open university, the physical infrastructure is not much. The online portal is resourceful but a bit outdated. Regional centers are helpful in case of queries, but facilities vary. The study material is comprehensive but sometimes delayed.
Since the course is self-paced, working professionals can easily manage it. Although the material is exhaustive, guidance from tutors is limited. Students who rely on self-discipline do well, but those expecting regular support may not do well.
IGNOU does not have a proper placement cell for BA students. Career opportunities are mostly left to individual effort. Some regional centers provide career guidance workshops, but opportunities are very few.
Very affordable, IGNOU is highly value for money for those students who have to balance education with other commitments. But for those students looking for campus life or placement support, it might be disappointing.
There is no campus life because it is a distance learning institution. Interactions are only during occasional workshops or exams. Virtual or study sessions are how students interact, which is a lonely experience.
Infrastructure is very good and well managed. Here good environment you seen, and you got best experiences and practical classes with good equipments with good teachers. Best practical classrooms and computer lab. Hostel provides good food with good hygiene. All the places are cleaned daily because housekeeping department is here.
I'm studying hotel management because i want to became front office manager. All notes provides to the students and teachers try to give all the knowledge about hotel industry. And try to teach with practical classes which helps to learn quickly. They provide projector classes. Every year curriculum were updated and taught to the students with good time table.
They provide 100% placemennt to all students who are studied in the college. And they try to give all students who are willing to do job, they got at least one job for future. Highest package of our college is 46000 in month. Average salary offered to the students are 15000 to 20000 per month. Our college is very supportive and try to give everyone at least one job that's why they take a decision to blacklist those students who are got placed.
Our college charges approx 1.5 lacs in a year which includes 2 semesters and hostel fees. Yes, I feel my money worth for me because i got placed in a good company which provides me good stipend/salary.
In my college campus a professors team made as well as some 3rd year are also engaged or team member of placemennt cell who handles all the activities. My college is located in Chandigarh sector 42 D udhyan path.
Overall infrastructure is good. Classrooms have wifi and Ac's. laboratories are well maintained and clean. Sports centre are also well maintained. Hostels are also good. All the facilities and equipment are available
Academics wise the college is great. Teachers are very good and supportive. The teaching quality is superb. I personally loved studying there. I would recommend this college for academics purpose specially
Placements are overall good. Highest package in my course was 6-7 lac as there as so many students in the college. Quality of placements is decent. Otherwise teachers are really supportive and process was also easy
one of the best feature is the infra of ignou. its has one of the best infra in the whole of india. And competes with one of the best colleges in inda in terms of latest infrastructure and space. highly recommended.
it has one of the best courses in whole of india. according to latest standards and norms and international compliances. it has one of the best courses in whole of india and foreign. highly recommended for everyone.
great placements. and highly paid placements. offering and five to 10 lacks of rupees LPA. even after being an open university ignou has one of the highest paying placements in whole of india. highly recommend.
