JNU offers decent academic infrastructure with spacious classrooms, a central library, language labs, and good internet connectivity. While some buildings feel old, greenery and open spaces make it pleasant. For BA French, the School of Language facilities are well-equipped, fostering a comfortable learning environment. Maintenance could be more consistent in hostels.
Academics at JNU are rigorous and diverse, with faculty renowned in their fields. The BA French program combines language mastery with cultural studies, supported by experienced professors. Regular seminars, research exposure, and access to vast resources enhance learning. The academic culture encourages critical thinking, though coursework can be intense for beginners.
Placements are not the strongest for language courses, but opportunities exist in translation, interpretation, teaching, and embassies. Hello aspirant,
With internal security, guards, and CCTV in numerous places, DU and JNU are typically safe and secure campuses, particularly during the day. However, occasional instances of theft, harassment, or altercations may happen, usually late at night or outside of campus areas, much like at any large public university.
