With 81.69 percentile in JEE Main under the General EWS category, getting ECE in JMI, AMU, JNU, or NIT Hamirpur would be quite difficult. For these institutes, the cutoff for ECE usually stays higher, often above 90–95 percentile for EWS candidates. JMI and AMU tend to have competitive cutoffs because of limited seats, while JNU and NIT Hamirpur also require a higher percentile. However, you still have good chances in other NITs, IIITs, or state-level colleges where the cutoff percentile is comparatively lower.

You must appear for both the English Test (Section IA) and the General Test (Section III) in CUET (UG). Based on your CUET scores and JNU's deprivation points policy, a merit list will be published, followed by pre-enrollment registration and fee payment to confirm admission.
Lateral entry into the second year is also possible for those with a bachelor's degree (first year) with at least 45% marks from a recognized institution. Be sure to check JNU's official website or prospectus for the latest and most accurate admission details.
Hello Rahul!
Pursuing BA LL.B at JNU is a commendable goal. Start by checking the JNU Integrated BA LL.B admission notifications on JNU’s official website—they usually announce eligibility criteria, application window, and fee structure (typically modest for this course). The admission is conducted through CLAT UG, so you’ll need to prepare accordingly. Your next step is to register for CLAT UG, focus your 12th exam preparation along with legal aptitude subjects, and consider mock tests to build speed and accuracy. After the exam, wait for results, then participate in JNU’s counselling session to fill choices and pay the seat booking fee. The BA LL.B program across the five years is subsidized with low tuition roughly 8,000 to 15,000 per annum depending on the year. For detailed guidance, consult JNU’s admission brochure and the CLAT UG site.

Thanks for your question, and don't worry this happens to many students!
If you’ve filled the form for BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages at JNU, but forgot your language preference, here’s what you can do:
You can follow these steps to check your filled preferences:
1. Login to the JNU admission portal same where you applied via CUET.
2. Go to Application Form Preview or My Applications.
3. You’ll find your language preference list under the Course Details section.
If the portal is closed, wait for the correction window or contact the JNU admission helpdesk via email. They are helpful and often allow minor corrections before councelling.
So the language you chose impacts counseling and merit lists, so it’s important to double-check it.
Best of luck

Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you have a decent chance to get admission in JNU MA Political Science course with 89 marks in CUET PG Political Science and ST category. JNU follows reservation policies strictly and cut offs of ST are much lower than General/OBC categories. The trouble comes in final selection as the number of applicants and seat depends on that specific year of applicants and cut off for each category. Keep an eye on JNU's official website for cutoff updates and counselling schedules.
JNU offers decent academic infrastructure with spacious classrooms, a central library, language labs, and good internet connectivity.
