The NITTE University, Bangalore offers two Bsc, (Honours) degree in Civil Aviation, in collaboration with Aerodynamic Academy!
- Bsc, Honours, Civil Aviation Pilot Training (CAPT)
- Bsc, Honours Civil Aviation Flight Dispatcher (CAFD)
Eligibility
- Class 12th with minimum 45% aggregate.
- 17 years at the time of admission, and a class II medical certificate.
Duration
Both the ordered courses are for 4 years. The first 3 being the Bsc curriculum and the last one year for training. 4th year is an optional one.
Career Opportunities
If you pursue CAPT , you can land in roles like Commercial Airline pilot, Charter/Cargo pilot, Test pilots, Flight Instructors and so on.
If you choose CAFD, you can become Airline Operation Managers, Flight Dispatchers, Air Traffic Controllers, Aviation Safety Inspectors, Loadmasters and so on.

Hello Aspirant,
If you are in a position of choosing EEE at NMAMIT, Nitte or CSE (AI & ML) at Sahyadri College, Mangalore, then I present the following comparison:
- NMAMIT (EEE): NMAMIT has a strong reputation among engineering colleges, NAAC A accreditation, good infrastructure and facilities, and an alumni network that is well established. EEE through NMAMIT has a sturdy base in core engineering, and offers entry points in both the government and private industries but competition for placements can be tougher.
- Sahyadri (CSE in AIML): Sahyadri offers an upcoming and in-demand specialization/stream, which means placement opportunities are increasing broadly, especially in tech industries. Sahyadri College is also becoming well known; yet, it is a much newer engineering college than NMAMIT, so it does not have legacy status established.
If you want a career in tech, coding or with AI, I recommend opting for CSE in AI and ML at Sahyadri. If you intend to follow core engineering pathways better and more established through reputation, I suggest EEE at NMAMIT.

If you gain admission to Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), you can expect to pay around 106,745 to 108,245 per year, depending on your state of origin (Karnataka or non-Karnataka).
This fee covers tuition for a B.E. program. For a Computer Scien.ce Engineering (CSE) degree, the total fee for the four-year program can range from 14,00,000.
