Infrastructure is extremely bad

I am mother of a girl who is studying in BMC. Infrastructure is extremely bad. We don't expect AC classrooms in Bangalore or great canteen & gym facilities, but at the least college should have good washrooms with water. Bathrooms are so pathetic, it is not cleaned at all and to add to this, water supply will not be there. Hostels are equally bad. When asked about this in PTA meeting, the director asked the mother who raised it to get up and asked who cleans the bathroom in her house, she said she herself does it. Director said students themselves have to clean their restrooms. Fine with hostels, but what about the washrooms in college without water. Some kids leave home at 7 in the morning to reach college and they stay for almost 8 hours in college, expecting a clean washroom in a medical college is too much????? Management is very rude, they said this is what you get for the fee you are paying. I don't think any government college works so badly in spite of getting funds from the government. I hope kids don't end up becoming patients instead of becoming doctors. If you can afford to pay little more fee (75K per year), better to pick a private college than ending up in a place like BMC. I really regret for putting my daughter in this college. What is the point in getting a good rank and joining a college with pathetic infrastructure, rude teachers/management, great govt hospitals? End of the day kid should be happy and have the enthusiasm to study and do well in their career.

College has lot of reputation all over the India. the college had been established during Britishers, still struggling for the infrastructure. Accommodation for ugs and pgs are so bad that no one can believe. But, I must say inspire of having that many problems, students rock in each and every field they are supposed to. Teaching faculties are so efficiently leading their student to learn best of medical knowledge. Although we have 4 big hospitals. one of the hospital is the 4th biggest in India. numbers of bed for hospital admission is quite large. It's about 5000, really a big amount. Hospital intake is about 10000 per day. so we have get lots of experience. As we need that, we r been provided. But government facilities are approx nil. Hostel students live like buffaloes. Each small room contains 3-4 medical student. And that room really not enough for single student. Administration says that 'they are getting crores of rupee for running the college '.but where these facilities are being provided. Overall this the nice place for study only. Never think of all round development.

Now since you are opting under 15% All India Quota, it is alot more difficult to obtain a seat. However, it is not impossible.
