    One of the Best.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a decent setup with essential facilities like lecture halls, labs, and hostels. Buildings are functional but show signs of aging, and maintenance could be better. The hospital is busy and offers good patient exposure, though some departments lack modern equipment. The location in the hills is scenic, but weather conditions can affect accessibility.

    Academics

Academically, the college maintains a good standard with knowledgeable professors. However, the teaching style can be traditional, and some departments don’t update content regularly. Clinical exposure is a strong point, especially from the third year onward. Seminars and case discussions add value, but practical labs could be better equipped. Assessment is fair, but there’s high pressure during exam time. Academics are solid but not uniformly excellent across subjects.

    Placements

Being a government medical college, there’s no structured placement process. Most students prepare for PG entrance exams like NEET-PG or INI-CET. The internship year provides useful clinical experience, although supervision varies by department. No career counseling or placement assistance is offered officially. Some students go for government service or further training.

    Value for Money

The college is budget-friendly with very low tuition fees compared to private institutes. For the cost, the clinical exposure and teaching quality are acceptable. However, hostel and infrastructure shortcomings slightly affect the overall value. Students get decent training, but some upgrades would enhance the return. Given the affordability, it’s a practical choice for many. Value-wise, it’s a decent deal for a government setup.

    Campus Life

Campus life is relatively quiet and simple. Student activities are fewer, and events are limited, mostly due to academic pressure and weather. Social interaction is present, but entertainment options on campus are minimal. Hostel rules can feel restrictive to some. Despite that, students form close friendships and manage with what’s available. Campus life is average and more study-focused.

    Can be improved.

    College Infrastructure

The campus setup is basic and serviceable but lacks modern upgrades. While the natural surroundings are beautiful, the facilities—classrooms, labs, and hostels—are fairly standard and could use better upkeep.

    Academics

The academic structure is solid, and the faculty are knowledgeable, though not all departments maintain the same standard. Clinical exposure in the hospital is strong, but some lectures can feel outdated.

    Placements

There’s no formal placement system, as most students focus on PG exams. The internship gives decent learning opportunities, but structured career guidance is minimal. It depends on how one student wants to pursue his or her career.

    Value for Money

As a government college, the education is budget-friendly. For the low fee, the training provided is fair, but certain upgrades would increase the overall worth. Hostel facilities can be improved especially washrooms.

    Campus Life

Social life is moderate, with occasional events and fests. Due to tight academic schedules and tough winters, extracurricular life is somewhat limited. Hostel life is average.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is adequate for academic and clinical needs. Classrooms, labs, and wards function well but lack modern upgrades. Some areas could benefit from renovation. Hostel and mess facilities are average. Overall, it serves the purpose but has room for improvement.

    Academics

Academics are fairly structured with regular classes and postings. Faculty are knowledgeable, though teaching quality varies. Practical exposure is decent but can be inconsistent. While the curriculum is followed, some departments could be more interactive. Learning depends a lot on self-effort.

    Placements

Placements are mostly limited to internships and further studies like NEET-PG. On-campus placement options are minimal. Internship training is routine with decent clinical exposure. Career support isn’t very structured but students usually manage through their own preparation.

    Value for Money

As a government medical college, it remains affordable. For the fee charged, the education and hospital exposure are satisfactory. While not premium, the overall value is reasonable for the cost involved. It's a decent return on investment for MBBS.

    Campus Life

Campus life is moderate—neither very vibrant nor dull. Students engage in basic cultural and sports activities. The natural setting of Shimla is a plus, but social life is low-key. Events happen occasionally, and peer interaction is good, but extracurriculars are limited.
