    Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Social Work, Jalgaon is a dedicated institution for social work degree programs. It is an associate college of Jalgaon, that houses a well-planned admission mechanism which selects candidates according to the convenience of having a social service model beyond academic merit and social work. Most public admissions processes begin in early June-July of the year. For undergraduate admission purposes, the college reviews candidates on the scores obtained in 12th standard or equivalent examination; for the master's level, the selection process is complicated. In general, this covers certain aspects- in addition to the marks obtained in the bachelor of the school, the written tests and a group discussion element.

    For Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), students who have completed their 12th standard from a recognized board can apply. The Master of Social Work (MSW) program requires candidates to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The examination for admission of MSW students is conducted by the college. In this examination, a writing test is administered containing questions on social issues, current affairs, and English access to check aptitude according to a 100 point evaluation system. Candidates shortlisted from the writing examination are subsequently called for a Group Discussion worth 50 marks and assess the communication capability through understanding social issues.

    Application Process

    The Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Social Work, Jalgaon application process follows these steps:

    1. Obtain the application form: The prospect students could get the application form from the college office or download it from the official college website.

    8. Admission Confirmation: The selected candidates should confirm their admission by paying the required fees and depositing their original documents within the time prescribed.

    Admission Process According to Degree

    BSW: The Bachelor of Social Work program of this college has a capacity for intake of 40 students. Admission to the BSW program is on criteria based on marks scored by students in the 12th standard examination and also by a personal interview with students. The program prepares foundations in principles and practices for a social worker.

    60 seats are available for the MSW program as an elite, selective program. If any candidate from any graduate background completes his/her graduate program, he/she can apply for admission; still, he/she has to clear the following- A written test will include 100 marks for knowledge in social issues, current, and English language understanding, followed up by a group discussion (50 marks) to analyze oral communication skills and clarity on social issues . The final selection is based on the outcome of all these stages.
