The School of Allied Health Sciences is a constituent college of DMU, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, situated in Wardha, Maharashtra. This institute is one of the latest additions to the DMIHER which provides many programmes in allied health sciences. Overall, it offers 46 different courses, which belong to 7 degrees at various levels, to prepare experts for different health care field. At present the strength of faculty members is 11 and in future the IAS group intends to deliver quality education in the field of allied health sciences. The institution is a co-educational facility which embraces students of both sexes, and of all races.
The School of Allied Health Sciences has adequate facilities to enhance students academic and extra-curriculum activities. The library accommodates 1220 and plays a critical role in providing information to the users, both students and the faculties. Hostel facilities: All out of the town students are offered separate hostel for Boys and Girls on each individual floor. It comprises a canteen, an availability to conduct occasions such as events and seminars, and sport related amenities to enhance the student’s lifestyle. The institute also possesses well-furnished practical laboratory, information and technology resources for facilitating computational learning, and mandatory health care unit with first aid amenities. Also, the college has an active alumni and anything that belongs to the past and present students is well connected.
It is however noteworthy to point out that the institute provides for all courses in allied health sciences. It offers 46 courses in total, where 30 are undergraduate, 13 postgraduate and 3 doctoral programmes. The courses covers many specialisations for instance Medical Radiology, Laboratory Technology, Optometry, Public Health, Hospital Administration etc. The over all approved intake capacity includes 75 for B.Sc Medical Radiology Imaging Technology, 65 for B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, 65 for B.Optom, 60 each for MPH and MHA, 60 each for B.Sc Dialysis Therapy Technology.

For undergraduate programs, the basic eligibility criterion is successful completion of 10+2 from a recognized board along with relevant subjects as per the course opted. Most of the courses set a minimum of 50% of the marks in the examination as aggregate. For eligibility purposes, the postgraduate candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university, usually with a minimum aggregate of 55-60% marks, or the equivalent of CGPA.

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Sc Programs: The institute has B.Sc. programs in Medical Radiology Imaging Technology, Dialysis Therapy Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, etc. Admission is based on merit in the 10+2 examination. Approved intake ranges from 10 to 75 depending on the program.
M.Sc. Programs: The programs include Medical Radiology Imaging Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Embryology, and Clinical Research. The admission is based on merit obtained in the relevant Bachelor's degree. Intake varies from 5 to 35 based on specialization.
MHA (Master of Hospital Administration): With 60 seats sanctioned for this program, the admission will rely on the undergraduate performance with possible conduct of a personal interview.
MPH (Master of Public Health): Program also has an intake of 60. Admission will consider the candidates' academic background in a relevant field.
Ph.D. Programs: These are offered in Medical Radiography and Imaging Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Clinical Embryology. Admission would typically comprise an entrance test and/or an interview while also involving the evaluation of the performance at the master's level by the candidate.
B.Optom (Bachelor of Optometry): Intake: 65. Admission based on performance in 10+2 with science subjects.
PGD Programs: Postgraduate diplomas in Clinical Human Genetics and Clinical Research, intake of 10 seats each. Admission based on performance in relevant bachelor's degrees.
