Hello,
Eligibility for the Junior Engineer (JE) exam mainly depends on the organization conducting it, for example, SSC JE , State PSC JE , or Railway JE .
Generally, the Junior Engineer post requires a Diploma or Degree in Engineering (like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) from a recognized university.
Since you have a BA and are now pursuing MSc in Computer Science , you are not eligible for most JE exams because they require a technical engineering qualification , not a science or arts degree.
However, you can apply for other exams related to your background, such as:
SSC CGL/CHSL
State PSC exams for administrative or clerical posts
Bank exams
UPSC Civil Services
If you want to work as a Junior Engineer in the future, you would need to complete a Diploma or B.Tech in Engineering from a recognized institute.
Hope it helps !
