NIELIT 2026 Overview

NIELIT was established with the objective of promoting Human Resource Development and associated activities in the domain of Information, Electronics, and Communications Technology (IECT). It continuously develops industry-relevant, educational and training programmes in fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Forensics, Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM), Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and various other emerging technology domains.

• NIELIT stands for the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology.

• NIELIT offers Digital Literacy Courses (DLC), Non-Formal Courses, and National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) courses.

NIELIT Eligibility Criteria

• For NIELIT O/A/B/C level examinations, registration is a pre-requisite. Examinations are held all over India in January and July each year.

• For the NIELIT CCC exam, candidates with any educational qualification can enrol in the NIELIT CCC course.

• No minimum qualification is required for applying and appearing for the examination in course on Awareness of Computer Concepts (ACC).

• For NIELIT BCC examination, candidates sponsored by NIELIT approved Institutes which are permitted to conduct BCC Course and having obtained e-provisional no., irrespective of any educational qualifications; Direct Applicants -irrespective of any educational qualification.

• Candidates should have passed Class 10th for NIELIT CCC Plus course.

• Candidates must have passed Class 12th for NIELIT ECC course.

NIELIT Exams 2026

NIELIT conducts separate exams for DLC (ACC/BCC/CCC/CCC Plus/ECC) and O/A/B/C level courses.

NIELIT O/A/B/C Level Exam

• NIELIT 'O', 'A', 'B', 'C' level examinations are conducted in January and July each year.

• Dates for the various activities connected with NIELIT O/A/B/C exams are announced through newspapers in advance of the examinations, normally in the last week of February and August relevant to July and January examinations, respectively.

• Examinations are conducted at about 120 centres all over the country.

• Examination fee for each module/paper of O/A/B/C level is Rs.500/- for each paper/module.

NIELIT DLC (ACC/BCC/CCC/CCC Plus/ECC) Exam

• NIELIT CCC exam is conducted every month as per the schedule.

• The CCC examination fee is Rs 500, which is to be paid online through EFT/CSC-SPV/Online (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking) while filling up the online examination form.

NIELIT actively engages in formal and non-formal education within the IECT sector. Students can earn NIELIT certification by passing NIELIT exams.
