The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) will open the registration for NPTEL Exam for the July 2026 session on June 20, 2026. NPTEL exam for July 2026 semester will be conducted for 1055 courses, of which 132 courses are new and 923 courses are rerun and rerun (upgrade). NPTEL will release the NPTEL admit card for the July 2026 semester exam in online mode on the official website. Candidates who registered for the NPTEL exam can download the admit card by entering their registration number and password as login credentials. It is mandatory to carry an NPTEL hall ticket to the exam center along with a valid photo ID proof.
The NPTEL exam result for July 2026 will be available on the official website of NPTEL (nptel.ac.in) for the exam conducted in September 2026. The NPTEL exam syllabus depends on the specific course chosen. Candidates who are already enrolled for the NPTEL courses, only then can register for the NPTEL certification exam, which is an optional yet mandatory requirement to get the NPTEL certificate. Enrolled candidates need to move to the ‘My Courses’ section on their dashboard. Click on the NPTEL exam registration link available. However, candidates are also advised to check their registered email ID for the exam registration link.
After clicking on the NPTEL exam registration link, fill in all the required details, upload a photograph, a signature, and valid documents such as a photo ID proof, a reserve category proof (if any), and others. Choose the examination-related details such as choice of exam centre and date, and submit all the details.
Complete the NPTEL exam registration by paying the exam fees of Rs. 1,000 (50% waiver for reserved category candidates) in online mode only.
