Bengaluru North University (BNU), Kolar is trifurcated from the Bangalore University through its University Gazette Notification in 2015. As per the new Jurisdiction, the Bengaluru North University covers all the legislative assembly constituencies of Kolar district, which include Kolar P.G.Center, Chikkaballapur district, C.V.Ramannagar, K.R.Puram, Mahadevpura, Pulikeshinagar and Sarvagnanagar of Bangalore urban district and Hosakote, Devanahalli and Doddaballapur legislative constituencies of Bangalore rural districts. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in art, commerce, science and management.
Location: Bengaluru North University (BNU), Kolar is located at Sri Devaraj Urs Extension, Tamaka, Kolar, behind S.P. Office, Karnataka. Kolar Bus Stop is about 5 km from the campus and the nearest railway junction is Bangarapet Junction which is about 20 km from the University. Candidates can apply for admission online or offline.
For online admission, candidates need to register and submit the application online and pay the admission fee.
For offline admission, candidates need to download the online application form and payment receipt and send it to the administrative office of the BNU Kolar University.

As per the merit list, counselling will be conducted.

Computer Centre: The computer centre of the college maintains and manages campus networking and internet facility. It provides both wired and WiFi connectivity to students and staff. The centre is equipped with the latest system/application software, operating system and various utility software. All students & staff are allowed to access the internet for academic and research purposes.
Library: The library of BNU Kolar, is fully automated and enriched both in traditional and online resources. The library has a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, and e-journals.
Sports facilities: The BNU Kolar campus has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess are available in the hostel. The college has a well-furnished football field and cricket fields. It also has a hockey field, handball, volleyball and badminton court. Tournaments in these sports are organised in the institute at the university level. The institute organises annual sports every year in which students of all disciplines take part.
