Bengaluru North University, Kolar Facilities
Bengaluru North University (BNU), Kolar has the facilities of the computer centre, library and sports. The details of these facilities are given below:
Computer Centre: The computer centre of the college maintains and manages campus networking and internet facility. It provides both wired and WiFi connectivity to students and staff. The centre is equipped with the latest system/application software, operating system and various utility software. All students & staff are allowed to access the internet for academic and research purposes.
Library: The library of BNU Kolar, is fully automated and enriched both in traditional and online resources. The library has a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, and e-journals.
Sports facilities: The BNU Kolar campus has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess are available in the hostel. The college has a well-furnished football field and cricket fields. It also has a hockey field, handball, volleyball and badminton court. Tournaments in these sports are organised in the institute at the university level. The institute organises annual sports every year in which students of all disciplines take part.
Wi-Fi: The University has provided the Wi-fi services at the campus and students and staff can use it for the academic purpose.
- Library
The University library consists of more than 6000 books and textbooks of school subjects, 14 Educational journals, Newspapers, and sufficient furniture. Seating accommodation is provided for 70 students
- I.T Infrastructure
The University is having a well-equipped computer lab with internet facility and Ups backup. 22 pc’s and 40 seating accommodation are available. Provision is made in the timetable for ICT classes.
- Boys Hostel
The University has a Hostel facility that is also provided for boys. The Social Welfare, BCM, Minority and Professional hostels, and community hostels are provided free of cost for B.Ed students.
- Girls Hostel
The University has a Hostel facility is also provided for girls. The social Welfare, BCM, Minority, and Professional hostels and community hostels are provided in free of cost for B.Ed students.
- Sports
The University has sports facilities for all the students.
- Transport Facility
The University has transportation facilities provided by KSRTC of Chickballapur Division. Student concession bus passes are provided to each student. A hostel facility is also provided for both boys and girls. The Social Welfare, BCM, Minority and Professional hostels, and community hostels are provided free of cost for B.Ed students.
- Laboratories
The University has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.
- Auditorium
The University has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
- Cafeteria
The University has a canteen facility for staff and students.
- Medical/Hospital
The University has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
