Nalanda University was established in 2010 and is recognised as an "Institute of National Importance". Nalanda University offers postgraduate and doctoral courses The School of Buddhist Studies, the School of Philosophy and Comparative Religions, the School of Ecology and Environment Studies, the School of Historical Studies, the School of Language and Literature/Humanities and the School of Management Studies are the five academic divisions of Nalanda University.

I somewhat feel the infrastructure is quite impressive and modern especially the new campus in Rajgir it has eco friendly buildings hostels libraries and scenic surrounding however since the university is still growing some facilities and connectivity issues can still be experienced
