Nalanda University Facilities
In total, the university has acquired five residence halls: Ajatshatru, Ananda, Maitreya, Nagarjuna and Tathagat, out of which 5 are for boys and one is for girls. These residence halls have been acquired from the Government of Bihar to meet the accommodation needs of students.
Nalanda University has labs that are equipped with the latest version to help the students with their research work. All the students admitted at Nalanda University are covered under group medical coverage and group personal accident policy. Furthermore, the Nalanda University facilities list includes modern classrooms, a cafeteria, sports facilities, a library, and a cafeteria.
- Boys Hostel
Nalanda University presently has five residence halls: Ajatshatru, Ananda, Maitreya, Nagarjuna and Tathagat. Out of these five, four of them are used to accommodate boys students of Nalanda University. These residence halls have been acquired by Nalanda University on lease from the Government of Bihar.
- Girls Hostel
The university has a total of five residence halls: Ajatshatru, Ananda, Maitreya, Nagarjuna and Tathagat. Out of these five, one is for accommodating girls students. The university has acquired these residences halls on lease from the Government of Bihar and private players for accommodation purposes.
- Medical/Hospital
Nalanda University offers medical assistance for students. To take care of students medical needs, students have the facility to visit the doctor at the campus. Doctors at the university visit the campus at the Tathagat Residence Hall every Tuesday from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm. This is free of charge service. All admitted students are also covered under group medical coverage and group personal accident policy.
- Library
Nalanda University library is fully air-conditioned and has wifi connectivity. It has a huge collection of books, reference books, periodicals, journals etc. The library is open from 9 am to 9 and is fully automated with KOHA ILM software and also has locker facilities for the students.
- Sports
Nalanda University offers various sports facilities for outdoor and indoor sports activities.
- I.T Infrastructure
Nalanda University has a modern IT infrastructure for the benefit of students and faculty members.
- Cafeteria
Nalanda University has a cafeteria that is situated in the main building. The cafeteria is open all weekdays between 9 AM to 7 PM. It serves healthy and delicious food items.
- Wifi
The University has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.
- Laboratories
School of Ecology and Environment Studies of Nalanda University has well-equipped laboratories to help students with their research work.
- Classrooms
Nalanda University has well-furnished classrooms to facilitate the teaching and learning process.
