Khandesh College Education Society's Institute of Management and Research, Jalgaon Admission Process

Khandesh College Education Society's Institute of Management and Research (IMR), Jalgaon, is a prestigious institution for being one of the institutes offering management and computer applications programs. The institute is recognized by AICTE and has a well-established competitive and merit-based admission process for its courses at the postgraduate level. Usually, the application cycle for admission into IMR usually synchronizes with the academic year around August-September; however, applications would typically open in the months leading up to that period. The national-level entrance exam considers primarily the admission of MBA and MCA applicants to IMR institutes. The admission for the MBA programs is through the MBA-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, while the other examinations, which can be used for entering the MBA program, comprises CAT (Common Admission Test) CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) and AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA).

Depending on the program, different eligibility criteria apply differently. To be eligible for an MBA program, students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. The MCA program requires candidates to appear for the MAH-MCA-CET conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. Specific eligibility criteria for each program are prescribed by the respective governing bodies as well as by the institute. Generally, important admission process dates, including application deadlines and dates of entrance examination and announcement of results, are in accordance with the schedules of the above-mentioned national-level entrance examination. Therefore, prospective students are advised to keep visiting the official IMR website and the site of the respective entrance examinations for the latest information regarding important dates and deadlines.

The Program MCA Integrated: IMR has a special program known as integrated MCA, which has 60 seats. Admission procedures are absent, but it is assumed that the program will follow the admission process similar to the regular MCA program, with some extra criteria that will fit the nature of the integrative course.

BCA and BBA: There are also 180 such seats reserved for these undergraduate programs. The process is not elaboratively explained; however, these kinds of admissions would generally include merit-based selection from 10+2 results and perhaps an entrance test or interview.

BMS: The Bachelor of Management Studies program with its 60 seats is likely to follow a similar process as other programs, though admission criteria are not specified.

Documents that are usually required are:

  • Passport size photographs
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate (for postgraduate courses)
  • Entrance exam scorecard
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (if required)
