IIM Ahmedabad Admission Criteria 2023-2025: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has released the admission criteria for PGP admissions for the academic batch of 2023-25, in online mode - iima.ac.in. IIMA has announced that it will not award any weightage to bachelor’s degree for the students who did their graduation during the COVID-19 pandemic time and were awarded only pass certificates instead of scores and has also announced many relaxations in the admission process.
Candidates whose names will appear in the IIM Ahmedabad shortlist will have to appear for the AWT (Analytical Writing Test)/PI (Personal Interview) rounds on the basis of which they will be granted final admission to IIM Ahmedabad. Read this complete article to check out the information related to IIM Ahmedabad eligibility criteria, important dates, IIMA admission criteria, and so forth.

Candidates aspiring to take admission to IIM Ahmadabad PGP must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
Students must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Students belonging to the reserved category will be given 5% relaxation.
The bachelor's degree must entail a minimum of three years of education along with 10+2 or equivalent.
The conversion of marks or CGPA will be followed as per the norms of the university/institute from which the student has graduated. In case the institute/university does not provide any scheme of conversion then the IIM Ahmedabad will obtain the equivalence by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.
Aspirants appearing for the final year examination of the qualifying exam can also apply provided they submit the required documents in the stipulated time. Such a candidate’s admission will be on a provisional basis and will be confirmed when the student submits the mark sheets and certificate of passing the Bachelor’s degree with a required minimum percentage.
In view of the fact that for the last two years due to COVID-19, many universities could not conduct exams and based on varied criteria gave pass/promotion certificates. Considering this, the CAT Committee of 2023 allowed candidates to take CAT 2023 without requiring any minimum percentage of marks in a bachelor’s degree. On account of this, the Admissions Committee of IIM Ahmedabad decided to do away with the bachelor’s degree component from the shortlisting criteria and to apply it uniformly to all the candidates. The AR now will be computed on a scale of 25 (considering class 10th marks, class 12th marks and the candidate's work experience) and the points will be pro-rated to 35.
The following formula will now be used for computing the Composite Score (CS):
CS = 0.35* (Pro-rated AR Score/35) + 0.65* (Normalized overall CAT Score)
Pro-rated AR Score= [(AR score computed by taking 0 points for Bachelor’s degree)/25] * 35
The admission criteria of IIM Ahmedabad 2024 is a two-step process. In the first step, the candidates are shortlisted for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of valid CAT 2023 scores, who have applied for the programme and meet the eligibility criteria for the programme.

CS (Composite Score) = ARF_CS * Normalised AR score + CATF_CS * Normalised overall score in CAT 2023
Application Rating Multiplication Factor for Composite Score (ARF_CS) = 0.35;
CAT Multiplication Factor for Composite Score (CATF_CS) = 0.65

Personal Interview Multiplication Factor (PIF) = 0.50
AWT Multiplication Factor (AWTF) = 0.10
CAT Score Multiplication Factor for Final Composite Score (CATF_FCS) = 0.25
Application Rating Multiplication Factor for Final Composite Score (ARF_FCS) = 0.15

Teachers in our college were well-qualified, experienced, and had good knowledge of the subject. They used different techniques to teach students. The course curriculum was relevant and made students job ready. Semester exams were averagely difficult but all students pass the exam. Students need to study whole year to pass exams easily.
All teachers are great. They provide practical experience. Their teaching methods are case-based. They make students think about every situation. They conduct quizzes during the first year. We have to study every day to pass exams.
I am a MBA graduate and completed my graduation back in 2018 because I always wanted to exp. The academics are out of the world. The teachers have years of experience and are best at what they do. The curriculum keeps updating and advancing with time and provides hands on experience about corporate functioning.

See since you are from arts background, and you also have a good academic record (barring your graduation percentage), so you can get a call for interview even a slightly lower percentile.
According to the previous trends, you can easily get into IIM Ahmedabad even at a percentile in the range of 92 to 95, which is a safe estimate for your admission in the OBC NCL category.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Dear Aspirant,
Yes, if you get above 98%ile then you can get a call from the top IIMs because you have a great score in your graduation as well. But it also depends on your gender and your category. For example, you’re a non engineer so you can get calls at 98%ile too. But if you’re not from general category then you can get calls at a lower percentile as well. So be sure to check the cutoffs of the colleges you’re targeting according to the category you belong to.
