12 MonthsA 12-month, AICTE-approved, part-time, modular programme specifically designed for professionals working in the development sector. The programme aims to significantly enhance the effectiveness of development organisations by building the management capacity of their staff. It covers functional management knowledge and skills tailored to the unique challenges and contexts of the development sector, including areas such as governance, public policy, and sustainability. The curriculum combines classroom sessions, fieldwork, and practical project work.
Course Duration: 12 months (part-time, modular structure).
The programme is subsidised as part of SPJIMR's social commitment, making it affordable and feasible for working professionals.
I. Participants sponsored by corporates / international NGOs and high-income candidates:
₹ 3,00,000 (Three lakh only) + GST as applicable.
II. Participants from NGOs or those who are self-sponsored:
₹ 1,50,000 (One lakh fifty thousand only) + GST as applicable.
III. Discount in fee:
- For two or more persons joining from the same NGO, a concession of ₹ 10,000/- per candidate will be provided.
- Limited scholarships are available for low-income deserving candidates.

- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.
- A minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience in the development sector. This includes experience in NGOs, Foundations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) departments, Social Enterprises, Government Development Agencies, and related entities.
SPJIMR operates a rolling admission process for the PGPDM, with usually two intakes per year. The procedure typically involves:
- Online application form submission, accompanied by specified documents and a non-refundable application fee.
- A thorough evaluation of the candidate's profile, including academic qualifications and relevant work experience in the development sector.
- Submission of an essay outlining the applicant's motivations for joining the programme and their career goals within the development sector.
- A personal interview (conducted online).
Selection emphasises the applicant's commitment to the development sector, relevant experience, and overall suitability.
