Financial support would be provided to the candidates for the first four years of the program. The details of the support are as under
- Coursework Phase – INR 40,000 per month
- After clearing the qualifying exam- INR 42,000 per month
- After successful proposal defense – INR 45,000 per month
- One time hardware reimbursement (ie Laptops, Desktops) - INR 40,000
Institute accommodation will be provided in hostels on a sharing basis or single room basis as per room availability. The scholars who opt for institute accommodation per year will be charged Rs.10,000 per month as hostel charges. Additionally, Utility and Mess will be charged as per institute norms.
Over and above this, a contingency allowance of INR 25,000 per year (for four years) to cover research expenses, expenses on books, photocopying etc. shall be provided.
On being granted admission to the program, students must pay the following fees:
- Admission Fees – INR 2,000 ( One time)
- Caution Money- INR 10,000 ( One time, refundable)

The FPM is a full-time doctoral program, approved by AICTE, aimed at training students for advanced research and practice in various management disciplines. Participants would be equipped with in-depth analytical and functional skills to succeed in both, industry and academia.
Admission is based on valid GMAT/GRE/CAT/NET mgt. /MAT/XAT score is required for admission to the FPM at SPJIMR. However, those applicants who do not have their scores by the application deadline should complete the form by entering the 'date' by which they would take the test.
To apply for SPJIMR’S FPM, the candidate must have: At least one of the following
- A Master’s Degree / Equivalent in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (with a Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification with at least 50 percent marks).
- Five-year/four-year Integrated Master’s Degree in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks.
- A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks.
A valid GMAT/GRE/CAT/NET mgt. /MAT/XAT/PET score, Validity as follows:
- CAT - 3 years.
- GRE/GMAT - 5 years.
- XAT/MAT/PET - 1 year.
- NET mgt. Qualified.
The candidate must have obtained at least 50 percent marks in the higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
Preferable three years of work experience which is relevant to their specialization or in a related discipline. We believe that the first-hand experience of organizations is essential to create a scholar who can balance rigor with practice. Candidates with significant work experience (10 years plus) are also welcome, as long as they have the motivation and background to pursue a rigorous research programme.
