10/12/Grad: 95/89.9/80 with no work experience or versatile extra-curricular profile as such. What are the chances of getting an early interview call from SPJIMR? (given that I cross the 85 percentile mark in CAT)

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 16th Oct, 2019

SPIJMR considers the following factors for their selection process:

  • Overall Profile
  • Academic background
  • Work experience
  • Entrance scores
  • Versatility and achievements

Now work experience is not mandatory for this programme. Versatility does matter but if you can make atleast 90 percentile in CAT, you should  be able to get into the first list with your academic profile. at what percentile I will get interview call for IIM and other top B-schools if my profile is (10 - 10 cgpa, 12-92.4% and B.com- 8.77 GPA)?

Ankit Dahiya Student Expert 1st Aug, 2019
Hello
CAT or Common Admission Test, national level management entrance conducted for admission to 20 IIMs and in more than 1000 B-schools across India.
With that profile you need 99.5+ percentile to get interview call from top IIMs.
However these percentile vary every year deoending upon factors like level of toughness of exam and number of students appearing etc.

What is the CAT percentile required for sp jain, Mumbai & MDI , Gurgaon ?

Sampriti Student Expert 20th Jun, 2019

You'll have to get a percentile of at least 95 and a good academic background for getting a call from MDI Gurgaon and for SP Jain it's better to score above 98 percentile because they have very less seats for non Maharashtra students. Moreover if you have a work experience for at least 3 years and have won some national level competition then SP Jain can give you a call at 85 percentile also.

Rahul kumar 10th Jun, 2019

Hi,Aspirant

Let me clear your dilemma ISB(Indian School of Business),is better than SP Jain Global School in terms OF ACADEMIC/FACULTIES/PLACEMENTS/EXPOSURE/FUTURE. ISB is one of good college in Asia which offers MBA postgraduate program in Marketng/finance/Executives.

Admission in ISB is Done through CAT/GMAT SCORES,Whereas SP Jain conducts its own entrance exams SNAP.For admission into their MBA Programs. Both are very good colleges in terms of Academic as well as placements.

All the best
