Best infrastructure in South Campus, University of Delhi. Had one of the biggest library in the whole campus. Size of the playground was one of the biggest. Computer labs equipped with latest technology. Labs were well maintained.
Excellent teachers with full depth knowledge of subjects. Making every effort to help students to grow. Also the curriculum supported outside projects and internships all way along. Reviews were given regularly to help improve student performance.
Not a lot of companies came on our campus. Few companies came but the number of recruits were not many. Had to look outside campud for jobs. most of the students do. Competition is fierce. Also, communication issues for new companies coming in is also there.
Outstanding. Given the money you are paying. Since its a govt university. You cannot ask for more.
Amazing campus life at hostel, satyaniketan and all south delhi spots nearby.
Could not ask for more.
It has modern classrooms, projectors, labs and good wifi connectivity. Also the ground is so big. They have equipments in lab but in very less number. Campus area is clean. The canteen food is overall good .
I am pursuing bsc chem hons and it has great lab facilities and good teachers. All staff is very punctual and keeps us updated with the syllabus or new education policy . Teachers also have doubt sessions.
I don't know much about the placement ratio but the college provides good placement offers as it has a good reputation in south campus . Many companies participate in campus recruitment and the package they offer is satisfactory.
My course fees per year is about 24-25k and that's a decent amount . The college provide all the facilities and the fest of our college is one of the best in du.
College campus is so fun but sometimes become irritating near elections time. Students can engage in different societies and seminars or events . Also the college is near the metro station and is very safe. Police Station is also nearby .
Infrastructure of the college is very well developed. It has two building consisting of classes and labs, rock garden , maggi point, canteen, botanical garder, playing ground, badminton court, tennis court, volleyball and basketball too.
Venky is known for science and commerce. Both of these are provided by well educated and well trained teachers . That's why students also get good placement offers in top companies. Teachers tech very well and help the students to get their dreams.
Venky provides good placement offers due to good reputation and education in south campus. The college helps students to develop their skills both social and technical skills along with core studies.
The SVC college is a very good college for students persuing bcom or bcom h because our college is known as the SRCC of south campus .Our college have various societies to increase our social and academical skills. It has very good crowd and vibe. Students have given a very good nick name that is 'venky'. How cool this name sounds . It has great infrastructure and the food of canteen is top notch and very hygienic. I love my college very much.
All the courses provided are provided from well educated and well trained educators . Teachers are cooperative and liberal. Venky is known for science and commerce. Teachers teach through ppts and solve all the doubts of the students. By this both teachers and students live happy life.
Don't know much about placement ratio but I think the college placement is pretty good as there are various broadway society for placements. The ratio goes around 30-40% according to the previous year
At the time of my course, the college had a wonderful library with a rich range of books that we could borrow for weeks. The labs were good- however the tools and equipment were not very maintained, and had a lot of errors that were therefore visible in the experiment results.
I would say I did not particularly enjoy the lectures by the professors as I did not feel they used very immersive or exciting pedagogy methods. The curriculum however was very detailed. It does not make you job-ready as the curriculum is focused on research.
For Physics hons, I don't think any placement assistance was directly provided. None of the batchmates joined jobs after this course as this was anyways a research heavy course intended to result in a Masters.
Part of Delhi University, per year fees was around 16k at that time for Physics Hons, which was very affordable. The fee was even lower for EWS quota. Getting a Delhi University degree from a prestigious college for this fee was well worth it.
The campus is lively and beautiful with various fests and activities happening all the time. The location is very student friendly with a lot of PGs and Cafes nearby in Satya Niketan.
I had a very small time in this college due to Covid but it was an enjoyable experience.
Classes are pretty well but in this bad summer days it's unbearable to sit in the class..as we see in many Colleges they have ACs but in our there are no ACs except labs which in unusual and also construction takes years to complete as we see our auditorium. Sports are quite well and we have big grounds for sports which is perfect for sportsperson. Many teachers are best but sometimes it feels like some teachers don't deserve to be here in such prestigious college as they don't know how to teach. And there is attendance issues but at end we get some exemption in attendance. There's no shortage of extra curricular activities. And we can see there are favouritism going on in different societies of our college.
Many teachers are best but sometimes it feels like some teachers don't deserve to be here, they don't how to teach Overall study is goodIn every reputed institution, teachers play the most important role in shaping students’ learning experiences and overall development. A college may have excellent infrastructure, renowned alumni, and a strong reputation, but if the teaching quality is poor, the essence of education is lost. Unfortunately, in many cases, the quality of teaching does not match the prestige of the institution. Some teachers, despite being part of a respected college, fail to meet the standards expected from them. Teaching is not just about completing the syllabus or dictating notes. It is about engaging students, breaking down complex concepts into simpler ones, and making learning an enjoyable and meaningful process. However, many teachers lack these skills. They are unable to explain concepts clearly, often leaving students confused or dependent on self-study and external resources. This raises a valid question: if students are forced to learn entirely on their own, what purpose does the classroom really serve?
We get good placements here from very prestigious companies One of the strongest indicators of a college’s success is the quality of placements it provides to its students. Good placements not only reflect the institution’s reputation in the industry but also open the gateway for students to build rewarding careers. A college that consistently ensures strong placements demonstrates its ability to connect academic learning with real-world opportunities. For students, placements are more than just securing a job—they are about stepping into the professional world with confidence. A well-structured placement cell, strong corporate ties, and regular training programs can significantly enhance students’ chances of landing roles in reputed companies. When students receive offers from leading firms, it validates the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and skill development.
