The demand for mechanical engineering jobs was touted to rise by around 4% between 2019 and 2029. This, in turn, opens up a lot of scope for mechanical engineers in sectors like automobiles, chemical industries, aerospace, power generation, agriculture, research, and development organisations. Online learning has become a huge part of the formal higher education sector. There has been also a considerable shift in how online education is perceived by the industry.

Leading companies look for candidates who have completed online degree courses in the field of mechanical engineering and have deep knowledge of mechanical systems. It is not easy for anyone to take their place in this competitive environment. So, to get into your dream company, you will have to become the best version of yourself.

Every engineer has to face the interview round to get a job. Mechanical engineering interview questions and answers are generally based on the technical and problem-solving skills of the candidate. To ace the interview, you need to buckle up yourself and prepare for the basics of mechanical engineering for interview. You can enroll in online courses & certifications from top providers to learn basic mechanical engineering questions and answers. Go through the article below to get to know about interview questions for mechanical engineers, along with the basic interview questions for mechanical engineer freshers, and basic interview questions for diploma mechanical engineer freshers. 1. How to differentiate thermodynamics and heat transfer?

This is the most important question you must consider while preparing for mechanical engineering interview questions with answers. To answer this question, you should focus on the basics of these two terms and then describe them. You can say, thermodynamics, which is a crucial branch of physics, works on equilibrium states and alters one equilibrium state to another. Heat transfer, on the other side, is a non-equilibrium process as it deals with systems that are not in thermal equilibrium.

    2. Why are most of the gas containers cylindrical in shape?

This is another one of the basic mechanical engineering interview questions that can be asked by an interviewer to test your knowledge. So you should also consider this question while preparing for mechanical engineering interview questions and answers. You respond to this basic interview questions for mechanical engineer fresher by saying gas containers are made mostly cylindrical in shape to resist high pressure. The sphere ideally is the most efficient shape that resists high internal gas pressure but manufacturing that shape is quite expensive. Conversely, a cylinder with a domed top and bottom is cheaper and has sufficient potential to remain unaffected by the internal gas pressure. Pursuing online diploma courses or mechanical engineering certification courses will teach you more about this concept.

    3. Explain the role of Nitrogen in welding

The interviewer also asks this type of question to check your knowledge. You can answer this question in a simple manner instead of explaining it in complex ways. thanking you

Mechanical in IIT kgp would be better if you are looking for your institution's reputation.
    Hello Aspirant,
According to your question I want to go one by one. Let's talk about civil engineering it's has a high scope in government jobs as everyone knows but on the other hand chemical engineering is also the growing field and offcourse with this field you are not able to apply for civil exams ( in case you want to prepare). If you ask me about Trichy or allahbad I would suggest Trichy . Trichy is slightly better in terms of overall faculty and quality of education and students. Infrastructure is also better here in certain extent and it's more research oriented.
Tech in chemical engineering. 95% of placement in the institute is from the engineering department. The highest package offered to engineer students in NIT, Tiruchirappalli, was INR 40 LPA. Overall, 90% of students are placed till now, and the placements still going on. The highest package offered is 28 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package offered is 7.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Saint Gobain, ITC, Business and ITC. For the most part 50-70% of the understudies from the course get good placements . accourding to latest statistics 92.1% of all the students in the Civil Engineering Department in nit trichy have been placed in various sectors.
NIT Trichy Placements 2022: Average Package: INR 6.5 LPA & Highest Package: INR 42 LPA.
Placements are very good at NIT Trichy if you are from circuit branches like CSE, ECE and EEE. The mechanical department also gets good placements, but not very much as circuit branches. However, we have opportunities to explore and apply to many different fields. So, there's a good peer group.
So yes choose stream according to your interest or if you want a good college go for college rather than thinking about stream.
