Prachi Kumari 13th Nov, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can edit the OBC authority designation in the JEE Main 2026 form during the correction window.

To do it:

  1. Wait for the correction window to open.

  2. Log in to the JEE Main portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  3. Click on “Correction in Application Form.”

  4. Go to the category or certificate details section.

  5. Edit the authority designation if the field is active, or re-upload a corrected OBC certificate.

  6. Save and submit the changes.

If the field is not editable, upload a new valid certificate or contact the NTA helpline for help.

Hope it helps !

I updated my name in Aadhar after filling the jee application, the aadhar is updated before submitting the application,so does the updated details will be verified with application name or not,as its showing name not verified still in the application application

Devanshi Goyal 12th Nov, 2025

HELLO,

The JEE Main application verification system uses the name you enter in the application form at the time of Aadhar Card verification so if you your Aadhaar was updated but still it is showing name not verifies then it means the new details have not been reflected in the online system use by NTA

Now what you can do is :-

1. First check the status of your Aadhaar card updates on the official UIDAI website by using your Update request Number.

2. Verify the details you have entered in application form like ensure that the name that you have entered in the JEE main application form exactly matches your newly updated Aadhaar card

3. You can use the NTA Mismatch Advisory like if a name mismatch pop up appears during the application process so for this NTA has provided the solution first close the pop up then a new window will appear that will allow you to enter the name exactly as it is on your Aadhaar card

4. If still the problem does not solve then you can contact the NTA Helpdesk

Hope this Helps!

if we are studying in 12th and we didnot get our registration number from government board then which registration number we should fill in jee mains application form

Sankalp Agrawal 11th Nov, 2025

Hello,

If you are currently studying in Class 12 and haven’t yet received your registration number or roll number from your board, you can leave that field blank or enter “NA” (Not Applicable) in the JEE Main application form.

Once your board issues the official registration or roll number, you don’t need to worry, NTA verifies your board details later during counselling or admission, not during registration.

So, do not enter random numbers, use “NA” or skip if optional.

Hope you understand.

i have wrongly entered annual income during my correction window of ugc net application but i come under OBC NCL category and also have category certificate claiming it..If incase i get clear and will it be a problem during verification?

Prachi Kumari 16th Nov, 2025

Hello,

If you have entered the wrong annual income but belong to the OBC NCL category and have a valid certificate, it should not cause a problem during verification, as long as your certificate supports your category and income criteria.

Make sure:

  1. Your OBC NCL certificate is valid and matches the name on your application.

  2. You carry the correct income details during document verification. You may have to explain or correct the income information at that stage.

The important thing is to be honest and provide supporting documents during verification. Mistakes in the application can usually be corrected at the time of document check if you have proof.

Hope it helps !

Is it compulsory to fill APAAR ID in JEE Mains application. Even though correct number entered, it is showing credentials are mismatch

Sankalp Agrawal 7th Nov, 2025

Hello,

No, it’s not compulsory to fill the APAAR ID in the JEE Main application form right now.

If your APAAR ID shows a “credential mismatch” error even after entering the correct number, don’t worry, you can simply leave it blank and continue filling the form.

  • The APAAR ID field is optional for most students.

  • It’s mainly for linking your academic records under the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) system.

  • The mismatch often happens if your Aadhaar details or school record name format differ.

So, you can submit your JEE form without the APAAR ID, and it won’t affect your application.

Hope you understand.

Hello, I am from a HSC school appearing for 12th in 2026, so for JEE main application, what do I have to enter for the columb "Registration no/Enrollment no/Roll no"? I do not have an admit card for my board exam. Some official in school says to put my GR no in the column, but i am not sure.

Sankalp Agrawal 6th Nov, 2025

Hello,

If you’re appearing for Class 12 (HSC) in 2026 and don’t have your board admit card or roll number yet, you can leave the “Registration No./Enrollment No./Roll No.” field blank or enter “NA” (Not Applicable) if the form allows.

Do not enter your school GR number, as it’s not recognized by the exam board or NTA.
Once your board issues the admit card or registration number, it can be updated later during JEE Main form correction or at the time of result verification.

So, for now, safely enter “NA” or leave blank — not your GR number.

Hope you understand.

my mother name is shaik nazima in tenth marks memo but in aadhar and all her documents name is shaik nazima begum while i want to fill JEE application as aadhar card my mother name or my tenth marks memo which one is correct and it was any problem

Prachi Kumari 6th Nov, 2025

Hello,

You should enter your mother’s name as per your Aadhaar card , which is Shaik Nazima Begum .

The JEE application is verified mainly with your Aadhaar details, so it’s better to keep it the same to avoid mismatch.

There will be no big problem if there is a small difference like “Begum” added, but it’s good to keep all documents matching in the future. You can update your school records or Aadhaar later to make them the same everywhere.

Hope it helps !

In JEE 2026 registration, If I select Bengali in application form will the question come as Bengali only or Bengali and English both or they will be switchable in exam?

Jishan Mondal 4th Nov, 2025

Hello, If you select "Bengali" in your JEE Main 2026 application, the exam will be bilingual. The questions will be displayed in both Bengali and English.

The computer-based test interface is fully switchable. This means you can toggle between the Bengali and English versions of any question, at any time during the exam. This is helpful for checking the translation or if you are more comfortable with technical terms in English. Please note that in case of any discrepancy in translation, the English version of the question is always considered the final, official one.

I hope you found this information helpful and for any study related queries you can ask in careers360 app, Have a great day!
