Dear Savita, from 2020, AIIMS will no longer be conducting its entrance examination for admission to its MBBS course. It will be conducted through NEET. For being eligible for NEET, you should have completed your relevant highest qualification, pass all subject and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. You can visit the official page for grading threshold for each subject at: https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-advanced/cambridge-international-as-and-a-levels/grade-threshold-tables/june-2019/

Hello,

Yes, now onwards the sole entrance exam for MBBS shall be NEET.

Earlier,  AIIMS, and JIPMER used to conduct their own entrance, which will no longer take place.

The common entrance test for MBBS shall be NEET.

From, 2020-2021 session onwards, this shall be applicable.

Hello Nirlipta Sha

NEET will be common entrance test for admission to MBBS Course from 2020-2021 onwards.

The syllabus, eligibility and exam patter will remain the same. AIIMS and JIPMER will consider NEET score for admission to their respective colleges. Maybe AIIMS and JIPMER will consider NEET scores but still retain their individual aggregates for preparing their own merit list but there is still no official statement through NTA for it so there is no confirmation for it.

Hope it helps you.

hello aspirant,

neet becomes the single  entrance test in india to join mbbs and other health sciences course. however NTA has not declared anything regarding the changes in question pattern. so till now you can follow the previous years pattern of questions. please follow careers360 website for latest updates.

Dear Rachana, the ideal eligibility criteria for a Candidate to apply for AIIMS, JIPMER and PGI or for that matter any PG course is that you should have completed your MBBS along with 1 year rotatory mandatory internship and with n aggregate required for your Category. The rules do not mention anywhere that a Candidate should have completed his course in the meant period or shouldn't have had backlogs while studying. So even if you have passed 6 months later than the course time, if you have scored the minimum aggregate against your Category in MBBS and have completed your 1 year internship or will complete it by the mentioned period, you are eligible for these examinations.

Dear Aspirant,

This is a decision made this year only therefore it can't be said that what will be the level of the NEET exam. There is a chance that the level might be raised a little bit to adjust the competition however don't assume that the exam will be a lot more harder than it is in the years before. The competition might change the level to some extent but is not going to make it impossible, so don't worry about it. Rather you should be focusing on getting a good rank as you might if get a good rank, get a chance at AIIMS also.

Dear Amrit, from 2020, there will be no AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS.There will be only NEET. Now NTA will conduct NEET for admissions in all Government/Private/Central/Deemed/AIIMS/JIPMER colleges as well.

Hello there!
Greetings!
Yes ,  aiims and Jipmer have been merged with neet now, so now admission to MBBS courses in medical colleges across the country including JIPMER and all the AIIMS will through NEET from 2020, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has announced this. Until now, admissions to all medical colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research) were done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) but now only neet is there for admission in medical colleges including jipmer and aiims.
Thankyou

Hello there!

Greetings!

Yes , you have read it right in the newspaper, now admission in aiims will be on the basis of neet and not only aiims but both aiims and Jipmer have been merged with neet,  so now only neet is there but it's not like neet will become difficult now , the pattern,  syllabus etc of the neet is going to remain the same , the only difference now is that admission in aiims and jipmer will be through neet and if anything like pattern of neet etc changes then NTA will notify about it in advance so , you don't need to worry,  just prepare well.

Thankyou
