Yes AIIMS DELHI is still the best medical college. In 2019 for the Second time in a row, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has topped in the medical category in the NIRF 2019 . Last year, the NIRF ranking in medical, law and architecture was introduced and AIIMS-New Delhi clinched the first spot with 90.71 per cent. And this year again aiims has got 1st rank in nirf ranking. And although aiims ug entrance exam has been cancelled,  but it will not have an effect on medical colleges as only entrance examination has changed not the medical Institution,  medical colleges will still have the same infrastructure,  facilities etc , so Aiims Delhi is still the best.

Dear Ashok, it is yet to be known as how AIIMS and JIPMER would conduct their admissions. They might follow CMC Vellorr process where in Candidates are asked to apply for their College and separate merit list is prepared based on pre set cut offs. Or it might be the way IITs, NITs and GFTIs conduct their admissions based on JEE scores. It is still unknown how it might happen. Everything will remain the same for AFMC. AFMC will release its own cut offs, shortlist Candidates based on TOeLR, Psychometric Test and Final Interview. Nothing will change on that front.

Dear Adarsh, now AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct their admissions through NEET from 2020 and so the syllabus will be that of NEET's.

Admission to MBBS courses in medical colleges across the country including JIPMER and all the AIIMS will be through the common national entrance test NEET from 2020, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan announced on Friday.

Currently, admissions to all medical colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research) are done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

"The common national entrance test -- NEET -- applicable to institutes of national importance like AIIMS and JIPMER and common counselling for MBBS, as per the National Medical Commission Act, will come into force from the next academic year (2020).

"This will help set common standards in medical education sector in the country," Vardhan said.

The National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for common national entrance test - NEET - along with common counselling for MBBS, and a common final year MBBS exam which will be applicable to all institutes including those of national importance like AIIMS.

As per the eligibility criteria for aiims Candidate should have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on the December 31 of the year of admission (2018).

• Candidates born on or after January 2, 2003 are not eligible to apply for aiims 2020.
