Course Overview
AnatomyX Musculoskeletal Cases course by edX and Harvard University is a platform for students to gain knowledge about commonly seen musculoskeletal injuries. AnatomyX Musculoskeletal Cases online course aims to teach the participants basic anatomy to understand the five commonly seen musculoskeletal injuries in orthopedic clinical specialty practice and primary care medicine.
Anatomy learning sessions shall be conducted which shall include observing actual dissections performed in the Harvard Medical School anatomy laboratories which shall explain the human anatomy concepts relevant to each clinical case.
Through this AnatomyX: Musculoskeletal Cases Program, learners will be reviewing pertinent radiology images, deciding a tentative diagnosis from the differential diagnoses given, and lead the patient to a virtual operating room to observe their surgical treatment; they will be shown narrated videos of actual surgical procedures. Candidates will get an insight into the Harvard Medical School anatomy laboratories where students perform anatomical dissections.
The content of each case has been developed with the expertise of radiologists and orthopedic surgeons at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The course has 2 tracks which may be chosen for pursuing the programme. One is the Audit track where the access is limited whereas the other one is the verified track which has unlimited access.
