The headquarters is spread over a vast area with administrative blocks, academic buildings, a central library, auditoriums, and research centres. The campus environment is generally calm and organised, giving it a serious academic feel rather than a lively college vibe. Facilities like libraries, computer labs, and seminar halls are functional and suited for academic and administrative work. However, since IGNOU mainly follows a distance-learning model, most students do not regularly use the main campus. The real experience depends heavily on regional and study centres, which vary in quality. Some centres are well maintained with clean classrooms, computer facilities, and helpful staff, while others have limited infrastructure and fewer amenities. Campus life, hostels, and extracurricular activities are minimal compared to regular universities. IGNOU’s infrastructure is designed more for accessibility and scale than for student life.
