IGNOU has a large and well-planned main campus in New Delhi that reflects its status as India’s biggest open university. The headquarters is spread over a vast area with administrative blocks, academic buildings, a central library, auditoriums, and research centres. The campus environment is generally calm and organised, giving it a serious academic feel rather than a lively college vibe. Facilities like libraries, computer labs, and seminar halls are functional and suited for academic and administrative work. However, since IGNOU mainly follows a distance-learning model, most students do not regularly use the main campus. The real experience depends heavily on regional and study centres, which vary in quality.
