In the context of Bachelor Degree Programme, IGNOU has done the breakdown of the courses in the following manner-
Foundation Courses (24 Credits)
Elective Courses (56 Credits or 64 Credits)
Application Oriented Courses (16 or 8 Credits)
You need to complete 96 credits in three year means 32 credits in each year to be awarded this degree.
Each courses in BDP programme has been assigned credits, either 8 or 4.
Foundation Course is compulsory in first year, as I said you need to complete 24 credits in total,
for first year you'll choose 16 credits in foundation course, along with 16 credits from elective group
in second year, you'll choose 8 credits of foundation course with 24 credits from elective group
in the final year, the application oriented courses can be choosen for minimum 8 credits and maximum 16 credits, depending on this you'll choose your electives to be of 24 or 16 credits.
Hello,
The breakown of BA Programme is like this-
There are 96 credits in total, in each year you need to complete 32 credits.
So, out of these 96 credits-
24 credits are of 3 compulsory courses (each is of 8 credits)
64 or 56 credits are of the courses of your choice
8 or 16 credits are of application oriented courses.
If you want to do major in any subject, you need to complete 48 credits in that one subject within 3 year, so 16 credits per year for that subject will do.
To simply put it down, you need to choose 8 credits of 4 courses per year, the total credit will be 32 each year and in three years, total courses will be 12.
Note:- 4 credit courses exam duration is of 2 hour and it's of 50 marks,While the 8 credit courses are of 100 marks in 3 hrs.
I'm talking about this in the context of term end exam.
dear aspirant,
You can apply for the Bachelor's Degree Programme (BDP) at IGNOU which includes BSc programme. One of them is Life Science. So, you need to select elective courses of life science or LSE in order to get a degree in that. Now, since you are planning to do BSc in biology you will also need to take lab courses( those courses which have a (L) marking are lab courses) that forms 25% of your credits. Attendance is compulsory for lab.You need to take a second elective from the rest 3 i.e, (maths, physics and chemistry) such that it carries a min of 8 credits. You may do it in 1st year or second year.
best of luck.

Hello,
IGNOU does not offer BSc in dialysis course.
Some of the top institutes which provide admission to the course are:
The average tuition fee charged for B.Sc. Dialysis course ranges somewhere between INR 20K and 3 lacs varying across institutes. You can also pursue further higher degree studies like, M. Sc., M. Phil., Ph. D., etc.
Hope, this helps.
Hello,
IGNOU degrees are valid and recognized, so you can definitely pursue higher studies with these degrees.
Now, admission criteria differs, some may take admission on merit basis and other might conduct entrance exam. For that you need to check with the University that you're seeking admission in. Also, you need to check the eligibility criteria since you have done graduation in commerce stream. Some universities might prefer having English as a main subject at graduation level.
However, that should not be concern, so many people from different stream go ahead with MA English.
Hope, this helps.
Even though it is a distance learning university, IGNOU has well-furnished regional and study centers. Library facilities are specially great – they have a huge collection of academic books, reference books, and journals. There is Wi-Fi in a few of the centers, and a hygienic cafeteria for students who are on campus for extended periods.
My study center is muralidhar college which is pretty decent college. the college staff was very rude ever since i been there for the first time they were very rude even changed some rules related to studies which they were not meant to.
It is an open university so we don't have ani specific building as our college. but the study center where we are elected to was nice. The faculty was nice too. clean classrooms, good professors and staff.
