About IGNOU

Indira Gandhi National Open University New Delhi was established in the year 1985. IGNOU New Delhi is a government-owned co-ed university. IGNOU has been recognised by UGC and accredited by NAAC receiving an ‘A++’ grade. 

Courses are offered at IGNOU at four levels, which include diploma, UG, PG and Ph.D. levels. The courses at IGNOU are available in distance and online study modes. IGNOU offers courses in Sciences, Education, Commerce, Law, Pharmacy, Medicine and Allied Science, Hospitality and Tourism, Engineering and Architecture and many other streams. 

Popular courses offered by IGNOU include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, MBA, MCA, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Phil, Ph.D and others. IGNOU also offers several certificates, diplomas, PG diplomas and advanced diploma courses. The candidates should meet the IGNOU eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the courses. Indira Gandhi National Open University operates 67 regional centres across India, with each state having one or more study centres.

Admissions to IGNOU are offered based on merit in the qualifying examination as well as marks obtained in entrance examinations. IGNOU conducts national-level entrance examinations for admissions to B.Ed, M.Phil and PhD courses. IGNOU also accepts scores obtained in GATE, UGC-NET and other exams for Ph.D admissions.

The fee structure at IGNOU depends on the course chosen by the candidate. IGNOU Delhi provides many facilities for its students, staff, and faculty on campus as well as at the regional study centres. Facilities available at the New Delhi headquarters of  IGNOU also include a library, auditorium, medical aid and so on.

IGNOU has a separate placement cell on campus that handles all the placement activities. The placement cell of IGNOU organises placement drives and invites top recruiters for the drive. The students of the university can avail themselves of scholarships. IGNOU also offers scholarships mostly sponsored by the UGC and the central government.

Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi admissions are offered to various UG, PG, certificate, diploma, PG Diploma and doctoral level programmes in ODL mode. Candidates interested in applying for IGNOU UG admissions 2025 for various UG programmes offered by the university must check their eligibility criteria before applying. Given below are the minimum academic requirements for IGNOU UG admissions 2025. The duration of UG courses at IGNOU generally ranges from a minimum of 3 years to a maximum of 6 years. IGNOU UG Admission Process 2025

  • Candidates must make sure that they meet the IGNOU eligibility criteria for UG admissions 2025.

Given below are the details of IGNOU Ph.D admissions 2025-2026 session. Ph.D courses are offered in a large number of disciplines like Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages and so on. The duration of IGNOU M.Phil course ranges from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 2 years while that of the IGNOU Ph.D course ranges from a minimum of 3 years to a maximum of 5 years.

IGNOU Examination Form 2025

The IGNOU University started the IGNOU exam form for June 2025 TEE on March 1, in online mode. The candidates have to choose the exam centres of their choice while filling out the IGNOU Examination Form. The IGNOU exam form fee per course is Rs 200. The students also get an opportunity to change the IGNOU exam centre after the examination form submission window is closed, with a late fee of Rs. 1100.

IGNOU Hall Ticket 2025

Indira Gandhi National Open University will issue the IGNOU June TEE 2025 hall ticket for online programmes on its official website tentatively in May. Candidates can download the IGNOU hall ticket 2025 using their enrollment number and programme name from the university’s website.

The students must carry the admit card of IGNOU 2025 with them to the exam centre. After downloading the IGNOU Hall Ticket, the candidates must check the details mentioned on it and in case of any discrepancy, must contact the university’s officials.

IGNOU Assignment Status 2025

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has uploaded the IGNOU assignment status for June 2025 TEE on the official website of the university. Generally, the IGNOU assignment status 2025 is uploaded 30 days after the assignment submission. The students can check the assignment status of IGNOU 2025 through their programme code and enrollment number. The students must note that the IGNOU Assignment Status will only be uploaded after the successful submission of the assignments.

IGNOU Result 2025

The Indira Gandhi National Open University is expected to declare the IGNOU December 2025 TEE result on February 15 in online mode. The candidates can check the result of IGNOU 2025 through their enrollment number. No candidates will receive the IGNOU Result on their email address and the candidates have to visit the official website of the university. Those students who are unhappy with their IGNOU results can also apply for the re-evaluation process.

  • Go to the "Student Support" menu and select the “Results” link.

IGNOU Result 2025 - Early Declaration

The university announces the IGNOU 2025 TEE early declaration result for the applicants who want to showcase their mark sheet for higher studies and jobs. The students have to pay Rs 1000 and upload the supporting documents of jobs or higher studies to get the IGNOU early declaration result 2025. It must be noted that the IGNOU early declaration result is announced in only some rare cases after the university verifies the documents of the candidates.

IGNOU Grade Card 2025

The IGNOU 2025 grade card will be released after the term-end exams. Candidates can check the grade card of IGNOU 2025 through their enrolment number and programme code. The candidates can check the details such as programme name, course code, enrollment number, name of the candidate and term-end exam marks.

IGNOU Admission 2025: Duplicate IGNOU Grade Card 2025

The university provides duplicate grade cards to candidates who have lost their IGNOU 2025 grade cards. To obtain a duplicate IGNOU Grade Card, students must send a demand draft to IGNOU payable in New Delhi.

IGNOU Grade Card Calculator 2025

The candidates have to use the IGNOU 2025 grade card calculator to calculate their grades based on the marks they have obtained in the term-end examination and practical marks. The IGNOU Grade Card Calculator uses 70% of the marks obtained by the candidates in the term-end examination and 30% of the marks obtained by the candidates in the practical examination. The grade calculator of IGNOU 2025 uses a chart that converts marks obtained by the students to the grades.

IGNOU Admission 2025 - Answer Scripts

The university gives an option to the students to ask for the IGNOU answer scripts if they are not satisfied with the marks obtained by them. To get a photocopy of IGNOU 2025 answer scripts, the students have to pay Rs 200 through demand draft payable at the IGNOU evaluation centre.

IGNOU 2025 Admission: Re-evaluation

The IGNOU re-evaluation process can be initiated at ignou.ac.in. The IGNOU re-evaluation 2025 is done only for the theory examinations. Candidates have to pay Rs 750 for IGNOU re-evaluation.
