B.Sc Economics with Data Science Hons at School of Liberal Studies, UPES Dehradun Offline Course

The B.Sc. Economics with Data Science program follows a quantitative approach that equips students with the tools and techniques needed for a holistic understanding of the disciplines of Economics and Data Science and their application in various fields. The program curriculum is designed to develop analytical and critical skills that facilitate learners to solve economic problems using logical arguments in addition to mathematical and statistical techniques. The teaching is provided in an interactive environment through a combination of lectures and tutorials. While the program shall equip the learners with economic theories and statistical tools in the initial year, the advanced courses will train them on varied facets of applied economics in the second and third years.

This program pursues an inter-disciplinary approach with students required to undertake subjects from allied fields such as Political Science, History, Sociology, Mathematics and Statistics to explore congruencies with their core fields of study. Students also attend research seminars, lecture series, conferences and master classes facilitated by globally renowned academicians for hands-on training on applying theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios.

Students can also undertake an additional fourth year of research-driven study in Economics with Data Science to graduate with an undergraduate Honours degree.
