    Hashu Advani College of Special Education, Mumbai Admission Process

    Hashu Advani College for Special Education (HACSE), Mumbai has pioneered in the field of special education. B.Ed programs are available in special education for hearing impairment and learning disability at the college. HACSE offers courses affiliated to the University of Mumbai and has gained the approval of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

    HACSE grants admission via Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET), conducted every May by the state on a yearly basis. This entrance test serves as a compulsory mark for fresh special educators aspiringly wanting to get into this institution. MH CET was instituted to determine the portions of aptitude and competency in studying special education.

    Any student who aspires to be one within the premises of HACSE must undertake the MH CET process.       • Graduation degree certificate and mark sheets

      • Caste certificate (if applicable)

      • Domicile certificate

      • Any other relevant certificates as specified by the institute

    6. Confirmation of Admission: Candidates would then be allowed to get their admission into their chosen program at HACSE once the documents were verified and met all eligibility requirements.

    7. Fee Payment: The confirmed students act in paying the prescribed fees for securing their seats in the college.

    Being a limited intake institution, HACSE would be laying focus on individualized training to enable concentrated development on the specific learner while developing as a special educator-to-be.

    Degree-wise Admission Process

    B.Ed SE Hearing Impairment: This is a full-time, two-year program conducted by HACSE. Candidates seeking a place in this course are to sit for the Maharashtra CET. This program has been designed to train educators in teaching students with hearing impairments. Those qualifying in the MH CET subsequently select this program when selecting courses during the process of counseling.

    B.Ed SE Learning Disability: It is a full-time, two-year B.Ed program in Special Education, focusing on Learning Disabilities. The admission process is the same as the B.Ed SE Hearing Impairment course. Maharashtra CET is the entry requirement, followed by choosing this program in the counseling process. It is believed that this course prepares future educators to cater to the needs of students with learning disabilities.
