KIIT School of Law, Bhubaneswar Admissions 

The college offers admissions to UG, PG, and doctoral programmes. KIIT Entrance Examination (KIITEE) is the All India Entrance Examination conducted by KIIT, Bhubaneswar. Later, candidates have to participate in the KIITEE counselling and seats are allotted on the basis of the marks they secured in the entrance exam. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to get their documents verified and pay the KIIT School of Law fees. However, for Ph.D the applicants who passed the national level exam and were admitted for a master's degree are also exempt from the entrance exam.

The amount of scholarship is decided based on the need of the selected candidates.

This scholarship is for poor and needy students.

KIIT Merit Scholarship

This KIIT Merit Scholarship is for KIIT students securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in each semester based on their CGPA for a period of six months.

KIIT University India Scholarship Programme (KUISP)

KIIT provides 100% and 50% scholarships on the total fee for international students, which would cover their tuition fee, books, A.C accommodation, multi-cuisine dining facilities, 24×7 library, and internet access.

 KUISP scholarship is for international students.


Candidates applying for UG, PG and Ph.D programmes under the KUISP scholarship.


The scholarship is offered based on merit.


The scholarship also covers the laptop, registration, and examination fees.

Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students from Tripura

Selected candidates will get a maintenance allowance of up to Rs.750/- per month and several other benefits

Candidates should have passed 10+2 with 75% or above marks (from Secondary Education Board of Madhya Pradesh) or 85% or above marks (from CBSE/ICSE board). 


Candidates’ family annual income should not be more than Rs.6 lakhs from all sources. 


Candidates should be enrolled in an undergraduate-level course at a recognised institution or university.


Law aspirants are expected to have qualified CLAT examination and obtained admission to an NLU.

Prerana Scholarship (Post Matric SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/EBC and Odisha Resident)

Minimum Rs. 44,000/- per annum


Maximum Rs. 77,000/- per annum 

Candidate must belong to ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC community.


The candidate should be a permanent resident of Odisha.


Candidates should continue their Post Matriculation Studies in any general/technical or professional courses in any government or government recognised private institutes. 


The annual family income of the parent/guardians from all sources in the case of ST/SC students should not exceed Rs.2,50,000/- per annum. 


The annual family income of the parent/guardians from all sources in the case of OBC/SEBC students should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- per annum and they have to obtain at least 50% marks in the previous examination.


The annual family income of the parent/guardians from all sources in the case of EBC students (General Category-Other than SC/ST/OBC/SEBC) should not exceed Rs.1,00,000/- per annum. 

In the case of EBC students, he/she should be pursuing his/her higher study in a government institute only. 

Medhabruti Scholarship (for Economically weak background and Odisha Resident)

Selected candidates to get a scholarship amount of Rs.10,000/- per annum.


The scholarship is awarded as per the duration of the course.

The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha state.


The income of the parents of the student from all sources should not exceed Rs.6 lakhs per annum.


Candidates must have secured an aggregate of 60% marks in the examination for different categories of merit.


Candidates pursuing higher education through distance learning/ correspondence are not eligible to apply.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS)

Up to Rs.20,000/- per annum

This scholarship is for candidates pursuing regular UG/PG course.


Candidates must have secured an aggregate of 80% marks in the examination.


Family income of less than Rs. 6 lakh per annum.


Not receiving any other scholarship. 

Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students (for Minority students M.Phil/Ph.D student)

Monthly fellowship amount of Rs.31,000/- for initial two years to JRF.


 A fellowship amount of Rs.35,000/- per month for remaining tenure to SRF along with contingency grant and escorts/reader assistance for differently-abled candidates. 

Prior clearance of CBSE/NTA-UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET examination.


Candidates should belong to one of the minority communities - Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi and Jain. 


Candidates must submit the minority community certificate on an actionable and legally valid affidavit until the State Government/Union Territory administration starts to issue the minority community certificate.


Candidates should be registered for regular and full-time M.Phil/Ph.D courses in University/Academic Institution by fulfilling conditions of admission of that University/Institution.


The annual income of the beneficiary/parents or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 6.0 lakhs per annum from all sources.


Candidates should have secured an aggregate of 55% marks at the postgraduate level.


Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. 

Top Class Education Scheme for SC students

Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges of upto Rs.2 lakhs per annum for private sector institutions.


Full tuition fee up to Rs. 3.72 lakhs per annum for private sector flying club for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses.


Living expense: Rs. 2,220/- per month.


 Books and stationery: Rs. 3,000/- per annum.


Computer/Laptop with UPS and Printer of any reputed brand Rs. 45,000/- (one-time assistance).

This scheme is for SC students who have secured admission in the notified institutions according to the norms prescribed by the respective institutions and are eligible to the extent of the number of scholarships allocated in the institute concerned.


Candidates must have completed 10+2


Candidates should have taken admission in a full-time course in a notified institution through general selection criteria prescribed by the respective institution.


Candidates must belong to a family with an annual income of less than Rs.6 lakhs from all sources.

Pragati Scholarship (for Girls Student) 

Selected candidates receives Rs.50,000/- per annum for every year of study as a lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, books, stationery, equipment, software, etc.


No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges, etc.

The candidate should be admitted to 1st year of degree/diploma course in any of the AICTE approved institution of a respective year through the Centralised Admission process of the State/Central Government.


Two girls' children per family are eligible.


Family income should not be more than Rs.8 lakhs per annum during the preceding financial year (in the case of a married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered). 


Candidates must be pursuing a technical degree/diploma course in the first year or second year (through lateral entry only) on the basis of the percentage of marks secured in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) Scheme

(for SC/ST/M/Phil and Ph.D students)

Fellowship amount of up to Rs.28,000/- per month along with contingency grant, HRA and escorts/reader allowance for physically handicapped and blind candidates.

Candidates should belong to SC/ST category and should have passed the Post Graduate examination. 


The selection will be made on the basis of the merit of the candidates.


Candidates must get himself/herself registered for M.Phil./Ph.D at the first available opportunity but not later than within a period of two years from the receipt of the award letter. This period is not extendable.


The actual payment of fellowship will be made with effect from the date of joining only.

 Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child

Rs.36,200/- per annum will be provided for a duration of 2 years or the full duration of the postgraduate course.

This scholarship is for a girl student of up to 30 years of age.


The girl student must be the only child of the family.


The girl student must have taken admission in regular, full-time 1st-year master’s degree programme in any designated university or a postgraduate college.


Girl students having no brother or girls who are twin daughters/fraternal daughter are also eligible for this scholarship. 

NET JRF (National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship) 

Rs.31,000/- per month is given to each Junior Fellow for the first 2 years.


Rs.35,000/- per month will be given for the remaining tenure (SRF). 

Candidates must have passed post-graduation from a government recognised university or institute for the Junior Research Fellowship.


General (EWS) category candidates must have secured an aggregate of 55% marks or equivalent grade in a master’s degree.


Candidates belonging to the OBC, ST/SC, PWD or transgender category with an aggregate of 50% marks in the master’s programme are eligible to apply.


The Ph.D degree holders who have completed their master’s examination by 19th September 1991 are eligible for appearing NET with 5% relaxation in marks percentile.


Candidates waiting for PG results and those pursuing a master’s degree are eligible to apply for the UGC NET exam.


In such a case, the candidate will only be considered for the admission of JRF and Assistant professor once they pass the master’s degree with the required percentile within 2 years from the NET result date.

MOMA Scholarships (Ministry of Minority Affairs)

Up to Rs.20,000/- per annum

Under the post-matric scholarship scheme, minority students studying in class 11th to Ph.D. can apply.


The merit-cum-means scholarship under the MOMA scheme is meant for students who wish to pursue professional or technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level.


Candidates’ family income must not exceed Rs.2.5 lakhs. 


 Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in their previous final exam.

Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) (for Jammu and Kashmir Residents)

For professional degree course - Academic fee of up to INR 1.25 Lakh and maintenance charge of up to INR 1 Lakh.

Candidates must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir.


Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam from CBSE or JK Bose affiliated Schools located in Jammu and Kashmir.


Candidates must have passed a diploma from J&K for admission directly in the second year.


Fulfill minimum age and other eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institution/ university. 


Family income must not exceed Rs.8 lakhs per annum.

Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship (for (for Wards/Spouse of Tata Steel Employee)

Category A - Rs. 50000/- per annum


Category B - Rs. 24000/- per annum

This scholarship is for sons/daughters/spouse of all existing workers, supervisors and officers of Tata Steel.


This scholarship is for sons/daughters/spouse of superannuated workers, supervisors and officers of the company including those separated under ESS / SBKY / Job for Job/MSS/EFBS/FBS/FSS.


This scholarship is also for sons/daughters/spouse of workers, supervisors and officers of Tata Steel who were transferred on the rolls of JUSCO.


The aforementioned candidates who have secured admission in the full time and regular courses are eligible to apply.

Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. Class rooms are having full air conditioners and there is educomp smart class as well. the food is hygienic and the living places are clean.

There are 23 courses availaible in my college each having seperate buildings, seperate boys and girls hostel, and mess. Our campus is around 700 acres! It's a city in its own. We have our own gym, restaurants, hospital and other facilities. We have one of the best infrastructures not only education purposes but also for extra-curricular activities. We have high standard stadiums!

Overall experience is very nice.

College infrastructure is awesome with very nice facilities and equipment. There is ac in every classroom, laboratories, library is very big and awesome. India best library of law school. Sport centre for every sport like gym, basketball, football, cricket at very cheap cost. Hostel facility is very good with wifi and smart boards. Living place is clean and food is hygenic.
