Biology
Yes, you can take Biology instead of Math if you're repeating your 12th. When you register again, you’ll need to choose the new subject combination, and in this case, you can opt for Biology. Just make sure your school or board allows this change, and you may have to attend Biology practicals as well. It’s always good to inform your school or board office before making the subject switch officially.
For NEET exam, you have to study all chapters from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. If you are a Hindi medium student, still NCERT books are the best to prepare. You must know how many total chapters are there so you can make a proper study plan. In Chemistry, there are around 30 chapters, in Biology also more than 30 chapters, and in Physics around 30 chapters. You have to prepare all chapters equally because NEET asks questions from all subjects.

You should apply with EWS certificate as it would be more relevant with counselling as the OBC certificate is generally accepted easily at the state level but at the counselling level you should fill with the certificate you applied with central that is EWS.
Hello Nilesh!
Based on current AYUSH counselling norms, your eligibility seems strong for admission to BAMS. As You've mentioned scoring 50% in PCB and qualifying NEET, which meets the eligibility bar.
According to AACCC and State-level counselling like Maharashtra AYUSH, students who completed Biology as an additional subject from NIOS are usually considered eligible as long as the board is recognized and NEET is cleared.
Still, it's wise to check with individual colleges or the Maharashtra CET Cell for any specific document-related queries. Keep your NIOS marksheet, NEET scorecard, and eligibility certificates ready at the time of counselling.
So yes, you’re eligible to participate in both All India and State-level counselling for AYUSH courses including BAMS. Focus now on preparing the necessary documents and understanding the seat matrix and counselling timelines.
If you wants to know more information about BAMS admission process, cutoffs, duration, etc you can visit this link below:

Wishing you success !
Hi Devaganga,
With a CUET score of 434 out of 750 and being an OBC girl, you do stand a good chance for admission in several central universities, especially in science or life science-related courses. Your percentiles are around 59, which is good.
Top colleges like DU or BHU may be tough, but universities like Central University of Gujarat, Jharkhand, South Bihar, Karnataka, or Kashmir often accept OBC students with percentiles in the 55–65 range.
Also, check each CU’s website they release detailed cutoffs based on category. Some might consider subject-wise percentiles (like Biology), so your highest subject scores could help depending on the program. Stay active during the counselling window.
Hope you will find it helpful!
If you completed 12 with PCM and now you want add biology as additional subject then first you can enroll in National institute of open schooling (NIOS) ,TO become eligible for NEET you can appear biology as a additional subject though NIOS ,Once you complete biology as a additional subject, you will eligible for NEET exam .
Hello,
Yes, with a score of 434 out of 750 in CUET and OBC category, you have chances to get B.Sc. Biotechnology in some central universities.
You can try for Central University of Rajasthan and Central University of Tamil Nadu. Both these universities offer B.Sc. or Integrated B.Sc. Biotechnology courses and their previous OBC cut-offs were lower than your score.
You should apply through CUET counselling portal and fill these choices.
Hope it helps !
